Thanks to @alis_arty who sent me this picture while passing by. My insta has taken a backseat for a long time, but I wanted to say something exciting very quickly. My art has been exhibited at @jonaquestart in Greenwich, and I couldn’t be happier with the response. @jonaquestart have been amazing, to you who bought my paintings: you’re amazing. This has been a great experience for me. What a great way to wrap up 2017! 😄

May-Linn does things she doesn’t know how to. Having a lot of fun doing it too 😄 The reference is a photo of my in-laws from their wedding earlier this year. How would you like to see a flip-through of my sketch book once it’s completed?

Story of my life. #mentalfloss

I’m working through the layers on this one. I paint for an hour or two, then I leave it and pace in front of it for a good while before I dare do the next layer again. Who knows where it ends up 🤷🏼‍♀️ What I DO know is I’m pouring a lot of soul into it, trying to find the right balance between detail and flimsy. Wish me luck!

And so it begins once more 👩🏼‍🎨

Okay guys, this is the last time I’m nagging about shop updates! I’m feeling pretty proud of myself right about now 💁🏼 I added a whole bunch of new stuff, both originals as well as prints. Remember! 🚨🚨 Prints are ALL limited editions! 🚨🚨 I have run out of several, so if you’re looking for Christmas presents, remember that so is everyone else and that my stocks don’t last infinitely 😱 There... now I can go back to instagramming daily painting routines 🐳

“Fox gloves”, original AND print now up on heraswatercolor.com. Link in bio 😊 Told you I was picking up my slack!

I have been exceptionally bad at updating my website lately, but I am in the process of making good! 😇 “Midnight owl” (print) as well as others are available from heraswatercolor.com, and there is more to come!

There's this one elephant I keep wanting to paint. The first picture is one I did recently, second is one someone bought six months back and the third is the first time I sketched it in my book using my then new Pentel brushes 😊 My art has become so moody lately. I try to keep paint more colourful, happy days and all that, but it doesn't come naturally right now. I'll just go with it and see where it takes me 🤷🏼‍♀️ How does the first elephant make you feel?

Painted something a little different on Friday 😋 I'm sure most of you know I'm fond of abstractions and often bright colours, and tbh I often find watercolour realism dull. While it isn't quite realism, it's definitely less abstract, and it was a pure joy to paint. These horses were caught snuggling during a shoot for a Medieval festival in Norway 😍

I was flipping through my sketch book and it kind of made me really happy and sad at the same time. Happy because I have developed sooo much in a fairly short amount of time 😄 And sad because I stopped using my sketch books, which is kind of like not writing in your diary for six months if you're normally a daily writer; I have this hole missing. Luckily that can all be changed, so today I'm making a good ol' fashioned entry in my sketch book. Notes and all 📝 🎨

My studio is currently a home studio. Waiting lists in London for decent studios are often ridiculously long, so to be able to spread out for a few days at @greatart_uk was great 💃🏼 I've been sorting through my supplies today and yesterday, and it is tooooo much. I even have unused whole sets 🎨 So, in addition to playing with other mediums, I've decided to do a give-away. Keep your eyes peeled!
