🔵UPDATE: Max is SAFE!🔵
SUPER URGENT 07/03/17 A volunteer writes: Max is one stunning boy in his gorgeous coat, perfect weight, and breathtaking eyes looking like they were made up by a world renowned make up artist. Eager for a walk and a new friend, Max pottied the moment we were out the door, and walked nicely on leash to the park. He notices other dogs as they pass but doesn’t pull towards them, and seems to be looking for something or someone as we walk. We’re told by Max’s former person that he’s friendly and playful with all including young children, but will growl and show teeth if they come near his things. He seems to be OK when adults come near. Max has been playful with other dogs both big and small, but play can sometimes escalate if it becomes too rough. Max is frightened by baths, and when we were in the park and I invited him to drink from the water fountain, he shied away. He sounds like a dog who will not want to go for a walk in the rain!! He’s well behaved when home alone and sleeps in his owner’s bed. Mr. Max has a megawatt smile which he uses often, his eyes sparkle, he loves treats for which he sits without prompting and didn’t mind being tethered for photos. He’s a gorgeous, friendly boy who’ll do best in a home without young children since he doesn’t like to share his toys. Mr. Max told me he’s accepting applications for his new home, and is ready to move on. Let’s make it happen today!

🔵UPDATE: Rest In Peace Blue 💔🔵
SUPER URGENT 07/01/17 **NEEDS A NEW HOPE RESCUE TO PULL** A volunteer writes: I met Blue as he sat, quiet, imperturbable and majestic in the waiting room, being surrendered by his owner’s relative. I was impressed. Blue is with us due to unforeseen life circumstances and here to stay until we find him a wonderful home ready to welcome a friendly but big, strong and enthusiastic boy, a force of nature. Blue was friendly to the staff admitting him to the care center and even jumped to kiss. I had the chance to watch him play in the yard with a caretaker. He is a huge and powerful young man, only eleven months of age. He had so many options to play. Toys, balls, swimming pool…such difficult decisions to make and at times, he clearly did not know what to choose from. He loved to dip his feet in the water, ran and jumped after the ball, caught it and did not mind to relinquish it to his caretaker. He sat for her, paid attention to her voice, did not mind me entering the yard and interacting with him. It is hard not to fall for a gorgeous pup like Blue. As expected, put amidst his peers, Blue threw himself in the crowd and played exuberantly. Ah, youth. Blue seems to have been well cared for. He looks healthy, quite well nourished but his shiny silver coat needs mending. Nothing that a new owner will not be able to mend. Baby Blue is at the Manhattan Care Center, waiting for his new person and teacher. Come and meet him soon.

BOLILLO is really sweet and the under-bite doesn't get any cuter! he needs help fast, he is so sad and confused and he just wants to play!
Please SHARE for his life, he needs a TEMPERAMENT TEST requested IN PERSON by an Interested Party before the Shelter will allow him to be saved. Without this Test being ordered he can be PTS at any time after his Available Date. A FOSTER or Adopter would save him. Thanks!

🔵UPDATE: Denham was pulled by Rescue Dogs Rock NYC!🔵
Meet Handsome Denham! He was adopted 2 days ago from the Manhattan ACC however, not every story ends happily. Denham's new "owner" noticed that he was walking funny and had started throwing up. He had a high fever and weak pulse upon intake. Even still, Denham remains a happy dog and allows all handling. This 10 month old pup needs immediate help. He isn't able to walk correctly. Denham ends up falling to one side when he tries to walk. The shelter recommends that he should get a neuro consult. He is listed as SUPER URGENT which means that at anytime, this young pup can be put to sleep. Please share so we can find a rescue or foster for Denham!

🔵UPDATE:Fabulous was rescued!🔵
Meet Fabulous! I can't get over how precious this little girl is😍. This cutie was found on the streets. She is a very friendly girl and would make a great addition to your family! However, this girl needs a bit of help first. She needs to be pulled by a New Hope Rescue first and find a foster family willing to work with her. Fabulous cannot use her hind limbs. She needs a foster mom/dad that is willing to work hard with her. She cannot express herself so she would need litter box assistance along with a little help cleaning her up. This girl may need a little extra care than other kittens, but the reward will be WORTH IT! Please consider fostering Fabulous 💜

Please share!! ALENKA how many people are praying for a forever home for this mini-shepherd.
All her puppies were adopted out and she is still waiting . Don't worry she gets more then enough attention at the vet where she is boarded. All her puppies are adopted by the staff and they treat her like a little queen but it is time that she find also her own home where she is gets all the attention for herself.
Alenka was very shy in the beginning but bloomed open after her puppies were gone. She behaves now like a little spoiled brat but It will give you instantly a smile. The first thing what she will do is wagging her tail when she comes to you. She will show you in 5 seconds her belly and yes she loooooooves her belly rubs.
Alenka is an easy girl but she is not that fond of smaller dogs . A meet and greet is preferred . Nor does she like cats.
Alenka is 2 years old and located in Huntington NY
Do you want to give Alenka her forever home then please don't wait a day longer!
