6 years ago I made my first attempt at launching my own clothing brand and I ended up being screwed over by some suppliers that took my money and ran. I was pretty wounded at the time and, being an 18 year old apprentice, I wasn't earning very much and the experience completely knocked my confidence.
.

Fast forward to February 2017 and I made the decision to launch my business again. With 6 years of commercial business experience under my belt, I now feel ready for the challenge.
.

The last 6 years has been essential for me to grow and develop as a person and become the woman that is capable of driving success and not giving up. I've never been more certain that this is my calling.
.

People will always tell you that it's too risky, that you're too ambitious or that it'll never work, but these people are only reflecting their own doubt into your mind. Yes, there is risk and compromise, and I'm not here to claim that I'm the best business woman in the world, because I'm not, and I've still got so much to learn. .

So this is me and my brand ready to take on the world.

Bring on 2018 πŸ‘ŠπŸ»β˜„οΈ

So I posted this picture on my story last week and I got quite a few messages through asking if I drink/how much is okay to drink. 🍸

First off - alcohol has a place in my life and if anyone tells me that I can't enjoy a drink and be healthy - they're lying! πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
.

The idea that we have healthy and unhealthy behaviours that can't co-exist is ridiculous - It's all about balance. Drinking alcohol is not toxic unless you drink it extensively and in an unhealthy way. .

One study which backs this up is the wine vs grape study. Subjects each got 10 percent of their total calories from white wine (150 calories), and the other group got 10 percent from grape juice. After three months, the white wine group lost almost 1kg more body weight than the grape group. Although the difference in results was small and focussed only on weight loss, the message here is very interesting. πŸ€“

My advice is, if you drink so much that it disrupts your lifestyle (training, mood swings, excessive napping, or the desire to eat a donna kebab at 3:00am..), then it’s an issue. If not, then the occasional drink isn't a problem. Which is why every now and then I'll have a drink with no regrets. 😁

The mind is so powerful when it comes to training.

For me, music is the key to stimulating my mind, and getting the right emotion and imagery in my head is absolutely essential in order for me to have a successful gym session.
.

A successful session for me is feeling my muscles burning in the right places, whilst feeling satisfaction, enjoyment, and adrenaline - like I’m a predator. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Sounds cringe AF when I read this back… πŸ™„ but nothing matches up to that feeling, and I crave it daily. .
Your body will achieve great things if you create a powerful and emotional environment to train in, in your mind. πŸ’‘ .

Two of the most important emotions that play a large part in my training are happiness and anger. Although they are opposites, they are both essential for performance.

Happines brings confidence; if you’re not sure if you can lift a weight, or run that extra mile, happiness gives you the mental confidence to achieve. πŸ’« .
Anger is a painkiller; anger brings an analgesic affect meaning that it relieves pain. If you’re pushing through a difficult squat, imagining an aggressive situation can lower the pain and help you to push through difficult sets. πŸ”₯

Just a quick note about the burpees. If you’re not confident enough, you don’t have to do the tuck jump at the top. An easier version is to just stand up or do a little jump off the floor. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Today I did some meal prepping before work. πŸ˜‹ This is unusual for me as I tend to give myself 45 minutes to get up in the morning which doesn’t really allow for this sort of food preparation! .
HOWEVER this only took 20 minutes to make and will last me both today and tomorrow at work whoooppeeee πŸ˜„πŸ™ŒπŸ»

So this is what I did:

πŸ”₯1. Coconut oil goes in the pan .
πŸ”₯2. 400g chicken goes in the pan .
πŸ”₯3. Add 4 big blobbs of Blue Dragon Thai red curry sauce (available at most supermarkets)
.
πŸ”₯4. Wait until the chicken is half cooked then add stir fry mix (which you got from Sainsbury’s for FIVE PENCE WTFFFF! Usual price is like Β£1). This includes cabbage, green beans, broccoli, carrot, onion and cabbage.

πŸ”₯5. Cook until the chicken is white all the way through πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ˜
