Four more crowns for my #makersescapemontville teaching quilt - this is a fun block for fussy cutting, or not, whichever you prefer. ✂️ 🤔@ministryofhandmade has all the Makers' Escape details, it's going to be a fun weekend.
So my lovely friend Tracy @happidays has a big zero birthday coming up. Here's part one of her handmade pressie - a Zimbabwe flag cushion! Oh that bird had me stumped, til @squeegieclothespin said to just keep it simple - wool felt + a little hand-stitching to the rescue. 🇿🇼🎂✨ Part two of the pressie hasn't been made yet - no flags are involved.
Ted never eats random things. But he does love a rogue tissue. He knows I'm not thrilled.
Slowly, slowly getting the organised chaos into line, in a attempt to start ahead of the curve - various stages of the first four blocks for Jen Kingwell's #longtimegonequilt sewalong, hosted by @gnomeangel. Loving it already - all scrappy, so many favourite fabrics to use.
Time to stuff my oldest's quilt into the basket, ready to spend some quality binding-while-waiting-time at debating this afternoon. My girls' quilts have been about five years from go to not-yet woah ... so far. 😳⏰
