date night ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅ‚

as some of you may know I've been a vegetarian the past year, for numerous reasons the unnecessary inhumane slaughter of animals (when I myself am such a huge animal lover) ๐Ÿ˜ป you can't help but feel so hypocritical favoring one life over another, my own health, food intolerances and just being far more aware of the environment and wanting to do my part to not add to the disturbing increases in global warming (as we are feeling the wrath of Mother Nature right now w the hurricanes..) ๐ŸŒชSelfishly I didn't go fully vegan, as I classed myself as a full cheese addict and I liked eggs I didn't know how i could give it up. So I thought being vegetarian would be sufficient and it wouldn't make much difference having cheese and eggs on occasion. Like many of you I recently watched 'What the Health' ๐Ÿ‘€- the food documentary on Netflix - if you haven't yet seen it I suggest you do (I know it is a bit one sided yes) but you can't deny the facts that were in this documentary and when it comes down to it, it just made me think, holding on to my cheese and eggs, is it really worth it for the huge suffering for animals and the risk to my health? I also have a history of breast cancer in my family (on both sides) is it really worth increasing my chances of this, when I can do something to reduce it? I do feel a movement is happening right now and the tables are turning as more and more people are actually becoming aware as to how dangerous eating meat and dairy is. I can honestly say I don't feel I am missing out on ANYTHING since changing to vegan, ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ I already feel healthier and have dropped extra fat I was carrying on my belly. I'm not preaching by any means but I think it's important to share knowledge of how we can all be healthier and take control of our own actions to help ourselves, the planet and the animals. ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿท๐Ÿฎ I'll give you updates as I go on my vegan journey I'm excited to see where it takes me ๐Ÿ™ƒ [ SORRY FOR THE ESSAY ] ๐Ÿ˜†
