Today baby girl, you have been a handful. You don’t want to nap or be left alone. I just want to clean the house and tackle the mountain of laundry that has built up on the floor. I want to put away the clothes where they belong this time instead of at the foot of our bed where they have been for the last week. I want to do the dishes and start some spring cleaning. I have no other kiddos to watch and no where to be so please just calm down so I can get some things done.
But then you put those little arms up and reach for me. Something you just recently started doing. And it reminds me that so very soon you will not need me like you do now. I will miss the times you laid on my chest asleep. I will miss this.
I have no kiddos to watch and no where to be so I will hold you and let you sleep and remember this is something I will miss. The rest of the world will wait.
