Day 14: Unicorn🦄
The unicorn is a legendary creature that has been described since antiquity as a beast with a single large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead. It’s also the national animal of Scotland~🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Day 15: Nuckelavee💀
The nuckelavee is a horse-like demon from Orcadian mythology that combines equine and human elements. It has its origins in Norse mythology, and is the most horrible of all the demons of Scotland's Northern Isles.

13. The Ghost of Fraser Castle 👻🏰
Over the years there have been numerous sightings of a young woman who was murdered in the Green Room. Her bloodied body, dragged down the round tower, stained the steps to such an extent that they had to be covered in the wooden panelling we see today. The ghost of Lady Blanche Drummond, who died in 1874, wanders the castle and its grounds; ghostly whispers, laughter and music have also been heard in the Great Hall.

A will-o'-the-wisp Medieval Latin for "foolish fire") is an atmospheric ghost light seen by travellers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes. It resembles a flickering lamp and is said to recede if approached, drawing travellers from the safe paths.

Day 8: Cailleach 🏔
In Scotland, where she is also known as Beira, Queen of Winter, she is credited with making numerous mountains and large hills, which are said to have been formed when she was striding across the land and accidentally dropped rocks from her creel or wicker basket.

🖊Days 5-7: Weekend🖊
So I went on a camping trip on the weekend so I wasn’t able to post~ Here is days 5-7, and I’ll post 8-10 tomorrow (Oct 10)
(Also FYI, the drawings are backwards in order of prompt number, but I didn’t want to post a green drawing next to a green~😂
🖊Day 7: Brownie
They are little elves that come into your house in the middle of the night and clean the house for you, do dishes, ect~ I need 50~ 🖊Day 6: Boobrie
I can’t get past the name, I’m sorry I’m 12 yrs old~ the boobrie is a water bird that can shapeshifter but this is the form it takes on the most~ 🦅 🖊Day 5: Ghillie Dhu
He is my favorite so far~ He is a guardian of the forest and has moss and twigs laying over him like a blanket~ He takes particularly to children and favors them over human adults~

🖊Day 4: Uildheists 🐉
Uilbheists guard the inlets and waters around their rocky coasts. They appear as multiheaded sea monsters. Their purpose seems to be the protection of the islands and not the destruction of sailors and ships.”
There is not a lot of info on these guys, not even any images, so I just interpreted it how I thought fit~

🖊Day 3: Bean-Nighe 🧖‍♀️
The bean-nighe (Scottish Gaelic for "washerwoman") is a female spirit in Scottish folklore, regarded as an omen of death and a messenger from the Otherworld. She haunts desolate streams and washes the clothing of those about to die.”
Totally new meaning to the washer woman song~😂

Day 2: Kelpie 🐴💦
“Kelpie, or water kelpie, is the Scots name given to a shape-shifting water spirit inhabiting the lochs and pools of Scotland. It has usually been described as appearing as a horse, but is able to adopt human form.” They remind me of like horse sirens~🧜🏼‍♀️

🖊Day 1: Fairy 🧚‍♀️ For the first day, it was “fairy” but that’s such a broad term in Scottish mythology so I went with the generic version since there are other specific fairies in other promotes~
Also I actually have colored ink so I might splash in some color and not have them be all black and white~ Hope you all had a spooky beginning to your October~🖤👻💀🕷
