In case we haven't "met", here's a little about my own personal journey with the #21daysugardetox: For most of my life I struggled with my weight, acne, back pain and migraines. In 2008 I started having new symptoms including fatigue, and numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. This eventually led to my diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2010. I finally decided to start taking control of my own health, and after reading about others with autoimmune diseases such as MS who found success by making changes to their diet and lifestyle, I decided I would try following a #paleo diet. The 21-day sugar detox seemed like the perfect jumpstart in that direction. .
My first #21DSD was in 2013, and I quickly learned that by eliminating sugar and processed foods, my headaches and fatigue dramatically reduced, and my sleep improved as well. I learned new ways to manage stress, started doing yoga, and shifted my focus more on self-care. Today I maintain a 90% Paleo lifestyle and have never felt better. .
