With an astonishing time of 17:29, Giacomo Pelizzari of Takero Shimazaki Architects took first place for the male category. And an equally astonishing time of 20:24 was achieved by Hanna Smith of @ldncomms.
Hybrid style test from an illustrative planning set for a project in Reading. Hybrid imaging is deliberately experimental, exploring different combinations of media to extend the aesthetic of conventional architectural illustration.
Offcut 02. We use lots of masks, mattes and other passes when compositing images. These bi-products can be beautiful, ambiguous images in their own right. This is a light pass from a recent project with Kengo Kuma in Tokyo.
Here’s another throwback to one of the images we prepared for William Matthews Associates. In a collaboration with Ney and Partners, they were shortlisted for the RIBA competition to design two new crossings over the River Orwell in Ipswich.
