Good morning yogis! Today is day 30! The last day of our challenge! you have all come so far mentally and physically, thank you for being apart of this and sharing your practice! For today's challenge you will be going into your much deserved Savasana! Simply lay on your back in a comfortable relaxed position. Extending your legs towards the edges of your mat and allow your feet to effortlessly fall open. Rest your arms along the side of your body with your palms facing up. Gently close your eyes and relax the muscles in your face. Relax the muscles throughout your entire body and feel yourself melting into the earth. Empty your mind of any thoughts. As negative thoughts appear imagine them on a cloud floating away. Let go of any stress or anger and fully surrender to this moment. Allowing your entire body to relax. You can stay in Savasana anywhere from 5-15 minutes. Every yoga practice should end with a well deserved Savasana! I'd like to thank you all for choosing to do this challenge to improve yourself mentally and physically and to help us spread the yoga love! You have all been so amazingly beautiful and inspiring to watch. Thank you for allowing us to watch you grow and sharing your practice. I hope you all continue with your practice and never be discouraged by it. Some days I can do certain asanas and other days I cant. Some days I can do more on my left side than my right and that is totally fine. It teaches you to accept yourself for who you are and to let go of your ego and to simply be present and happy. Rise and shine loves!! We are officially at day 29! One more day to go!! For today's challenge we will be doing Sirsasana (headstand). Begin by coming onto your knees. Interlace your fingers and rest your forearms on the ground. Check to make sure that your elbows are not wider than your shoulders. Rest the crown of your head between your forearms so that the palms of your hands meet the back of your head. Lift your hips up coming onto your toes. If this is enough for you then please stay here and feel your core working and the strength in your arms. Once here activating your core slowly lift your legs up until your body is completely straight. Flex your feet and push your elbows into the ground taking pressure off of your shoulders and neck. Take deep inhales and exhales through your nose staying here for as long as you'd like! Don't be afraid to fall the earth will catch you. If you fall out of it try again! Never be discouraged by your practice, if anything be proud of how far you have come! Happy Monday yogis! Today is day 28 of our 30 day challenge! Only 2 more to go! The challenge for today is Camatkarasana also known as Wild Thing!! Begin by starting in high plank and shifting onto your left hand and the outside of your left foot opening up into side plank. Bend your right knee and plant your right foot on the ground opening your heart and chest and extending your right arm. Stay here for 2 inhales and exhales through your nose. Once done release coming back into high plank and repeating on the opposite side. If wild thing is not in your practice you can simply stay in your side plank! As our challenge is coming to an end come back to your intention that you set for this challenge. How does that intention relate to you now? Does your intention have a completely different meaning today than it did 28 days ago? A lot of times as we grow internally our intentions develop different meanings to us. Notice how you feel today about this challenge and then think about how you felt 28 days ago coming into this challenge. It's always good to look back and reflect, by doing so we can see our self growth and acknowledge the positive changes we made in our lives! Good morning yogis!! Today is day 27 of our 30 day challenge! The challenge for today is Kapotasana (pigeon). Ground your palms on the earth and bring your right foot to rest behind your left wrist and your right knee to rest behind your right wrist. Keep your right foot flexed and lower your hips down towards the ground. Coming onto the top of the left leg. Make sure that your left leg is straight and that your left foot is also straight. Center your hips making sure to not rest all of your weight on your right side. Ground your hands next to you and open your chest lengthening your spine. Either stay here or slowly fold your torso down either coming onto your elbows or bringing your third eye to the ground extending your arms in front of you. Stay here for 5 inhales through your nose and 5 exhales through your mouth. With every exhale feel yourself sink a little deeper. Repeat on the opposite side.Settle here and release any tension you may have built up and let go of any anger you may have. Happy Saturday yogis!! We are now at day 26 or our 30 day challenge! Our challenge is slowly coming to an end! For today's challenge we will go into Balasana also known as child's pose. Bring your big toes together to touch and open your knees. Rest your glutes on your heels and fold your torso forward. Rest your third eye on the earth. You can either extend your arms forward on the ground, bring your hands towards your feet rounding your shoulders, or bend your elbows bringing your hands into prayer mudra. Stay here for 5 inhales through your nose and 5 exhales through your mouth. Feel your belly expanding between your thighs with every inhale. Today we will nurture ourselves mentally and physically. Calming your body and mind of any negative thoughts. Giving yourself a break and meeting your needs. Rise and shine yogis! I hope you all had an amazing thanksgiving! We are now in day 25 of our 30 day challenge. Today's challenge is Bakasana (crow). Place your feet together and ground your palms on the ground in front of you with your fingers spread wide apart. Bending your knees and resting either your knees or shins on your triceps towards your armpits. Slowly come onto your toes and lift each foot. If this is not accessible to you then you can simply stay on your toes activating your core. Stay here for as long as you desire! Remember that some days asanas and balances may come easily to you and some days it may seem impossible. Never judge yourself. We are only human and we cannot have a perfect practice all the time. Good morning yogis and happy thanksgiving ✨ I hope you are all having a beautiful day! We are now in day 24 of our 30 day challenge! we have come so far together and I am so thankful for every one of you! Today's challenge will be Ustrasana (camel). Begin by coming onto your knees. Plant your hands behind you on your lower back fingers pointing down. Open through your chest and shoulders by squeezing your elbows towards each other. Take a deep Inhale right here lengthening through your spine and on your exhale slowly open your heart by forming a curve in your spine. Only going as low as is comfortable to you. Maybe just having a slight curve or maybe going deeper and bringing your hands to grab your ankles. This is your practice take any variation that feels right to you! Hold here for 2 inhales and exhales through your nose. Slowly release when you are done. Today we will be thankful for our lives and the people that are in our lives. Be thankful for this beautiful day and this beautiful planet. Be thankful for the food that you are fortunate enough to have. Be thankful for who you are and how far you have come in life, every sacrifice you made for others, and every time you got back up after life knocked you off your feet. You are strong and amazing, it is important that you recognize that. Good morning yogis!!!! Today is day 23 of our 30 day challenge! The challenge for today is Utthan Pristhasana (lizard). Begin by coming into Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing dog ). From here step your right foot on the outside of your right hand. Keep your spine lengthened. You can either stay on the ball of your left foot or drop down to your knee. You can also stay on the palms of your hands or for a deeper stretch drop to your elbows. Feel the opening in your hip right here as you release any stress that you may have built up from preparing for three holidays. Stay here for 5 inhales through your nose and 5 exhales through your mouth. Remember to repeat on the opposite side! Today focus on slowing down and enjoying the moment. Things tend to get crazy and out of order around the holidays so always remember to take a few deep breaths and slow down. Give yourself a moment to reset before overreacting. Happy Tuesday yogis!!!! We are now at day 22 of our 30 day challenge!!! For today's challenge we will be doing Navasana (boat). Begin by sitting with a tall spine and your knees bent. Come onto your toes and shift your weight back activating your core. Keep the shoulders and chest open and extend your arms along your side. Either stay here or for more of a challenge lift your toes off the ground having a 90° bend in your knees or extend your legs. Once this is mastered you can also grab your feet pulling your legs closer to your upper body and balance here. Stay here for 4 inhales and exhales through your nose. Focus on your balance. You are much stronger than you think you are. Remember that your mind will always give up before your body is ready to. Honor yourself and your capabilities. Good morning yogis! I hope you all had a spectacular weekend✨ today is day 21 of our 30 day challenge! The challenge for today is Urdhva Dhanurasana (wheel). Begin by lying flat on your back. Bed the knees grounding your feet by your glutes. Place your palms right above your shoulders with your fingers pointing towards you. If this is enough of a stretch for you then stay here only going into Urdhva Dhanurasana if it is accessible to you. Once you are grounded and ready push your body up creating a curve in your spine. Remember to relax your neck and to keep breathing. If you would like more of a challenge try lifting one leg up extending it to the sky and then alternate legs. Stay here for as long as comfortable. Remember that either variations are fine. Do not force yourself and cause any pain to your body. We all have to start out somewheres. This is an asana that teaches us to accept ourselves and our practice. Be patient with yourself and your practice.
