Carrot Tangerine Detox with Fresh Turmeric
This is a great way to detox after a summer full of travel. I’ve been looking for a way to jazz up the morning and discovered that adding turmeric to my orange juice not only offers a different taste, but it adds a number of health benefits too. Squeeze lime into it to lift up the flavours and your spirit!
4 to 6 (about 1/2 kg) carrots peeled
1/2 cup honey
1- inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
1/2 - inch piece fresh turmeric
¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
1 cup tangerine or orange juice
In a juicer, blend all the ingredients together. Pass the juice through a fine mesh sieve placed over a bowl. Add more tangerine or orange juice if needed. Serve chilled in a tall glass over ice
