Was just thinking about my last week and it was quite a full on week but realised how happy I made my 17 year old self!
I remember being 17 and not loving or doing good at school, so was happy to be finishing but not fully sure of what I would do.
Knowing that I loved a few things that I didn't exactly learn at school but from things that I put my hand up to volunteer in throughout my high school years...
What I realised I loved was connecting with people, planning events that had purpose, adding structure to things and travel.
So now as I sit in a cafe in Perth thinking about this last week, as a 29 year old I'm so grateful that I was able to be able to do all those things not just in the last week but over the last 12 years in various ways...
And I've realised how much I owe some of that to other people, especially my family and those awesome people that I guess you can call mentors that have cheered me on, given me advice and made sure I didn't give up when I got frustrated or upset.
(Hope you all know who you are! 😊)
So as many people are going into their last couple of months of schooling here in AU or whatever you might be doing where you could feel like it's not what you love, I hope that you are able to find people who recognise the gifts you have and help you to start somewhere in doing more of what it is you love!
Or even spend sometime on your own really working out what it is you love and why you love it, or things that frustrate you that you could help fix...then go make steps to making it happen.
Also much love to the people I got to connect with over the last week in SYD, MEL & PER.
