SUPER good. The new white dial Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical, flanked by another work-in-progress handcranker. Many thanks to the Topper Jewelers team for getting this on my wrist. NB: the original Khaki Mechanical and a chat with a watch enthusiast and his brother at WindUp SF 2018 sparked an obsession that eventually took shape as the Universa.

Thomas and gang at Crown & Buckle do great things.

You should go watch @justanotherwatchguy's Wind Up SF Youtube retrospective. Beautifully written with a focus on the humans behind the brands. Link is in his bio. Nice work Steve!

A photo of El Bluezo to keep you occupied while I attempt to tame the "message requests" section of IG. FAQ is up on the Journal but in case you missed it: you can register your interest on the website (left sidebar > WATCHES > pick the model > email sign-up is at the bottom of the page). Closer to release, I'll send out an email to all on the lists confirming interest. Each name on the list will be assigned a number, which will then be drawn at random for guaranteed purchase slots. Quantities produced will match those of the Seaforth III open pre-order, not the blink-and-you-miss-it Series II. Ok, I'm going in.

This here's the Bathyal Blue Fairwind with steel 12-hour bezel (bezel lume is Photochop), minded by my SUB300 Searambler . Some 6 degrees stuff happening in this pic: Erika (maker of that fab blue strap) is married to arguably THE most prominent Doxa collector. Also read that Doxa was the first Swiss brand to sell direct on the internet, way back in November 1999. Also: these days you can't unfurl a mainspring without hitting a 12-hr bezel. The person that I think is responsible for its popularity? The James Stacey. Will wrestle you if you disagree, no gi.

Suntory time.

The Universa with pastel dial was on my wrist but not on display at Wind Up SF. Needs more work - specifically, better contrast in the applique markers and hands against the dial. The colour of the dial itself will be a super-desaturated hue with a little more green in it as compared to the Seaforth pastel. Planned as one of the options for the upcoming Series I but it may push to Series II if I can't achieve the results necessary in time. Also, hopping off IG for a bit to catch up on the repairs docket - I'll be back in a few to answer any questions.

You've seen the blue and green - now here's the grey, the third and final dial colour for Series I of the Seaforth B. I had reservations about the fumé, in that it was too Moser and a little too "me too". But after more deliberation and many great conversations at Wind Up, I think it can stand on its own. (we'll have to save purple for another day)
P/S: any Shuron fans out there? ✋

This is the Universa with Slate Grey dial, on the rubber strap from the Seaforth series. The prototype at the show was assembled with an orange seconds hand tip, but the minty freshness in this picture will be the final version. All the new stuff is in production now with a scheduled release of late summer - please visit the site and add yourself to the email list if you're interested.

Didn't have all the correct components in time for Wind Up SF, but here is a good representation of what the final version of the Fairwind / Bathyal Blue dial / sapphire 12-hour bezel will look like. P/S: yes, the endlinks extend past the lugs by design and they are final.

Last day at @windupwatchfair! Unfortunately I'll have to cut out a little early at 3:30pm, so if I miss you there will be tons of other stuff to see. (must-buy: @brewwatches Technicolor Retrograph)
