Had an awesome leg & back day! The workout that I did is one from an 8 week program that I’ve just created called ‘burn & build’. So it’s -34 degrees Celsius where I live right now (feels like -40) so all I can do is have a flash back Friday of some of the warm days that I miss... filled with sunshine and swimsuits... and WARMTH.. did I say WARMTH!? Lol

Happy Flex Friyay everyone!! Sorry that I’ve been slightly MIA... I’ve been sick so this week has been quite frustrating. However the excitement of Christmas is lifting my spirits today😽 today will be the first time doing my upper body in a while so that’s going to be a good pump!
Some of you have been asking about programs and if I’m planning to have a Boxing Day sale and the answer is YES! I want to share one of my many analogy’s with you. Please read this.

I like to compare the human body to a significant other from time to time but I also like to compare it to a home. Because it is our home.

When you purchase a home, you own it. Much like you own your body. What happens with the value of your home depends on how you take care of it. If the shingles start to fall off and you don’t replace them, you could get leaks, increased energy bills, mold, creepy crawlers etc.
Because you neglected to fix the shingles you now have much larger and long term issues. And the value of your home has definitely decreased.
So think of your body now.
If your unhappy with your body, or certain areas of it... those problems will only get worse and take longer to repair if you keep putting them off. You need to get a hold of the issues now, not later.
A value isn’t all about the exterior, it’s also about the interior and the foundation. So just like our homes need some fine tuning, so do we. It’s important to get your physicals to make sure everything is ‘up to code’ and to consistently work on yourself to increase the value that YOU desire.
We change things about our homes to match us. We want our personality to shine through the home so that we can identify with it. Much like we want our appearance to match our personalities.
Have you ever felt like “this body just isn’t me. It’s holding me back.. inside I’m so adventurous, vibrant, sexy and fun... but the body that I’m living in makes me feel too self conscious to show it. So I hide and don’t put myself out there” ?
Not everyone has felt this way but being a personal trainer.. I know a lot of people do. It’s no way to live in your body.
I’m going to make it clear that I don’t believe in some society accepted physique. I believe in everyone having their own ideal! So get the results that YOU want so that you can let yourself out and shine💕 you only have one life and one body, take care of it! 🙏🏼 If you need help with getting on track, It’s what I do🙂. I’m often asked what my training routine looks like. But every week is a new week for me, I literally have zero routine lol. If i’m feeling skinny I do isolated weight training with minimal cardio. If i’m feeling a little thick I do a lot of HIIT and circuit training. If I want to maintain muscle and burn fat I mix up my hiit and weight training. If i’m a little sore everywhere I do low intensity cardio. I completely go off of how I feel that week or that day to be honest. I used to be more scheduled but when your a trainer that works out with most of your clients, it’s too difficult to do that. I focus on maintaining my physique, so with that I can be a little less structured. I just go with the flow about how I’m feeling about my physique at the time. I also get bored easily so I love to change things up! My clients know first hand that I like to mix up workout styles a lot because I even do that with them. I like my clients to learn all the different training methods so that one day when they don’t have me they’ll feel confident doing it on their own. This week I’m focusing a little bit more on lifting heavy paired with low intensity cardio. What’s your training routine like right now? Do you have one? -Hales
