Europes largest playground & a 10/15 drive from Haarlem, or you could take bus 50 from Haarlem station.
This place had been recommended to me so many times & so many times I've looked at the website and have been slightly underwhelmed in truth. Well what a mistake that was, as we made the visit yesterday and although it was very busy, it was just brilliant. It's like a cross between an adventure park, playground, waterpark and fairground!
Perfect for under 8/10 year olds, but also so much to do for older children too. The amount of things to do and see really is endless. We spent 5 hours there yesterday and saw about a third of the park.
There are some great playgrounds, some for certain age groups which is nice and then rides dotted around the park, there is a monorail, individual cable cars, a train, a trampolining area, lots of different race tracks - cars, bikes, trikes for younger kids & just soooo much more.
The real highlight on a hot sunny day was the water park area. It is split into two main areas; one for younger children and one really impressive bit for older children.... hours of fun. My one bit of advice is to dress your kids in swimwear that makes them stand out as yesterday, in the crowds, it was really quite tricky to track two children at anyone time.
There are places to eat, many smaller kiosks & a lovely big picnic area. We took a picnic which I'm glad we did as for the three of us and parking it was over €40. So not cheap, but worth every penny I have say.
They do offer various season & vacation passes (€28) which in hindsight would have been well worth it.
The kids are desperate to go back and so am I, genuinely. It was so much fun and the kids were entertained from start to finish which just makes it so much easier.
The park is open annually, between March & October. The weather for next week looks back on track so if you are looking for something close by Haarlem (& Amsterdam) then give it a whirl! **swipe for more pictures and more in stories 👍🏻** #haarlem #amsterdam #haarlemforkids #expatlife #amsterdamforkids #letthembelittle
