Day 1 versus Day 280: 87 pounds lighter and an infinity times stronger. Nearing one year and 100 pounds into this journey and I’m more determined than ever to keep going. I was trapped in a body that didn’t serve me, so I decided to do something about it. I took my health for granted, and I won’t make that mistake again. You only get one body to live in for the rest of your life, so treat it like home sweet home ❤️

Talk to me about commitment.
Talk to me about dedication.
Talk to me about hard work.
Talk to me about going after what you want.
Talk to me about sacrifice.
Talk to me about sweat, pain, injury, tears, strength, energy, will power, determination, goals, worth............and respect.
When you’re ready to talk that language, you’re ready to transform.
Feed me to the wolves, and I’ll come back leading the whole damn pack. 💯 Smash your Tuesday folks!!!!!💪

Hitting rock bottom doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’ve been given the opportunity to hit the restart button. Use every experience to seize every opportunity, failure never means you’ve lost. It means you’re learning how to succeed. Your Current Situation Is Not Your Final Destination 500lbs-244lbs🧨🚀 @jarps_journey #TheGainzInBetween

My previous transformation post talked about control and balance. I want to briefly expand on balance. When I embarked on a voluntary journey to change my lifestyle and looks, I didn’t know how long it would take to see results.
Change happens slowly, and slow change is very hard to see. I let myself get very emaciated, as you can see on the left. I took it a bit too far. I hadn’t discovered balance. At the time, I didn’t realize it. At all. People would tell me, but I wouldn’t listen. I still thought I was a bit pudgy! Now, looking back, I see how right they were.
I did eventually cave in and eat at a caloric surplus and lifted heavier at the gym. But only because I started paying attention to the feedback of those who had my well-being in mind.
And that’s my point: one way to achieve balance is to listen to the advice of those who care about you. They provide you with the perspective you might not have at the moment.
And that ties back to control: you decide who you surround yourself with, you select your friends, and you ultimately steer the course of your life through those selections.

I got tired of being tired. I knew I deserved better than I was giving to myself. I wanted to live my best life and stop making excuses and 18 months later I am still keeping to the promise I made to myself at the beginning of my journey. Has it been easy? NO I've gained weight back numerous times, gone weeks without going to the gym, 2 knee injuries and a sprained ankle, but I am still here. 87lbs lost and still counting. My faith and believe in myself turned my rock bottom to stepping stones. You can do same. You don't have to be perfect to start, begin with what you have right where you are. My name is Booski and I used to weigh over 300lbs 🤗🤗
