A light dusting of snow fell at the start of the weekend here on the high part of the North Moor, but we escaped another weekend of being snowed in on the hill. Lovely evening light for some trail running now that the clocks have gone forward.

Today was a perfect day for storm watching.

Hearing that the first review of my first book has been published in Amateur Photographer Magazine this week gave me the fear 🙈. 12 days until publication and this review is a promising start! Thanks @ap_magazine #cicobooks

Can’t resist sharing a pony photo with you! Thought I would share this one, to explain how I got the last photo. I came over to see the horse and then saw the tree that looked just like a pencil drawing, it wasn’t even visible from the path, so I got a bonus for straying off the beaten track.

The first hour of the recent snow storm last was a silent and peaceful one.

A gentle start to what turned out to be an epic snowfall, we haven’t had a snow storm like this in decades

Misty weather calls for woodland walks in my humble opinion! There is something magical about seeing the clouds mingling with the trees.

Nothing beats hanging out with my squad. (It hasn’t snowed today - I found this in my camera roll from a few weeks ago when we had snow.) So what are you reading in 2018? I’ve just finished “The Watchmaker of Filigree Street” and need a new book to read...

Sometimes you just have to get outside and let the wind whip your hair and tickle your ears, it’s exhilarating.

View from my porch!! Without rain there would be no rainbows... I’m dedicating this rainbow to my first born, my darling daughter on the occasion of her 5th Birthday. She’s been in love with rainbows for a very long time. When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday she asked for magical powers to make dreams come true. Well, why not! #shotoniphone7plus

Sometimes the sky just stops me in my tracks. It happens often up here on the hilltop, we may get more than our fair share of cloudy days here but on the bright side it brings its own drama to the day, often in a very positive way.

The low lying valley mist this morning burned off to reveal a beautiful blue sky day. How lovely to finally see the sun after weeks of storms and cloudy skies.
