If you like a rare, bloody steak, roasting a fillet quickly in a very hot oven is a good fuss free method.

Our standard chicken is Red Tractor, although many of the suppliers we work with adhere to higher welfare standards. We do sell free range and/or organic chicken from time-to-time on the site, and they are labelled and priced accordingly, but in all honesty if free-range/organic meat is a non-negotiable for you, then hand on heart you are better off using an alternative supplier. ⠀

We don't want this to appear that we are turning your business away, we just want to be honest. We like to think we provide really great tasting meat at a good price that is fair on the farmer and the customer, but we appreciate this model isn't for everyone.

Pork fillet is a meaty superfood that really doesn't get the plaudits it deserves. If you are on a high-protein eating plan it's worthwhile getting one or two for some quick cook recipes.⠀

Along with 32g protein per 100g, it's also a great source of zinc which helps produce testosterone to build muscle.

A winter stew made with Beef Shin was a firm family favourite when we were growing up. Our grandparents generation made the best beef stew, mainly because they used beef dripping to brown the meat first.

While you can use vegetable oil instead, the dripping does add a layer of depth and melt-in-the-mouth flavour to the stew, so if you can, try and get hold of some (it will last ages in the fridge, and makes amazing chips and roasties too).

With it’s lovely strong flavour, Bavette steak works really well, with earthy ingredients such as broad beans and mushrooms.

An ice barrier for our camera shy butcher...to be fair if you seen his face, you understand why. 🤤😲😂🤣
