100 years ago America celebrated the end of World War I and the start of Veterans Day, which marked a change in the way we viewed the sacrifices veterans made for our country. Today and every day we must always fulfill the promises made to veterans and their families, overseas and at home.

Congratulations to Senator Jon Tester on a hard-fought win. Montanans made a clear choice to send Jon Tester, the only farmer in the U.S. Senate, back to Washington, D.C. to work across the aisle and make decisions that best serve all Montanans.

There’s so much at stake this election. If you haven’t made a plan to go vote, go to If you already voted, go knock a couple more doors and make a few more phone calls. Your vote is your voice — make it heard loud and clear all the way from Montana to Washington D.C.

One of the best parts of being governor is getting to see the kiddos and families who come trick-or-treating at the governor’s residence each year. Hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween.

Stopped by Three Forks again today to visit with the hardworking folks of Local D-239. They have been locked out for far too long. It’s got to stop.

East Middle School in Great Falls is the first middle school in the country to receive a grant from @att to help students create a program that will foster entrepreneurship and career readiness. These students have a bright future in front of them.

Students at West Valley School in Kalispell are using upgraded high-speed broadband to learn and prepare for jobs in a digital, technology-driven world. It’s great to see our efforts for greater connectivity in our schools become a reality.

I’m visiting preschools in Alabama with Montana legislators on both sides of the aisle. Alabama continues to grow investments in pre-k and I’m going to keep fighting to make sure Montana follows their lead. This is an investment we can’t afford not to make.

98% of Montana's schools are now connected to high-speed internet, up from 78% in 2015. We will continue to work toward greater connectivity at faster speeds, because every student deserves the opportunity to learn in a 21st Century classroom.

Montana is deeply rich in American Indian history, and on this day each year, we celebrate American Indian Heritage Day. I encourage all Montanans to join me in recognizing and celebrating the culture, traditions, and contributions the First Montanans have made to the fabric of our state.
