Have you ever made your credit card payment early, then you receive a notice saying you have a payment due? β€”--------------------------------------------
Well that's because the payment you made was applied to your current month and you still owe the payment for the next month. By doing this it will result in your next payment being late. I will give you an example --------------------------------------------
Your billing cycle is from May 10th-June 10th and you made the payment on June 5th. The payment you made was applied to the May billing statement, now you still have the month of June due.
---------------------------------------------
Mailing in your payments a few days before your due date or setting up automatic drafts will prevent this from happening.

Before you make the decision to re age an account on your credit report read this. β €
----------------------------------β €
Re-aging an account is when you agree to pay on an delinquent account. β €
-------------------------------Remember after 7 years negative information (except for bankruptcy) will be removed from your credit report. If you re-age an account, that means you will be adding extra years to pay off the account.
