Self Awareness/ Self Acceptance
I must confess. I know it may sound crazy to some people for these words to come out of my mouth but I too have my own truth to live up to. I have many women who tell me I am their "body goals" and frequently ask me for tips to help them build their body just like mine, but there are times where I look in the mirror and I get frustrated at what I see. I have the body type where I gain weight easily and have had this "issue" my whole life. My adolescent stage was a time period where tall and slender was the standard of beauty and I fought in many ways sometimes in unhealthy ways to fit this mold of "beauty"with little success. I would fight to get my body to this slim figure sometimes but was unable to sustain it because that was not my natural build. If you were a teenager in the late 90s to early 2000s then you definitely can relate to this. In my 30s I am still needing to give myself pep talks to ensure that I am perfect just the way I am. God did not make any mistakes with me and he did not make any mistakes with you either. I am all for being healthy and maintaining a healthy lifestyle but do not do it at the cost of vanity. Be a healthy version of you and not what you see on social media. My body will never look like the next woman's and I do not strive to look like anyone else that I see on television or social media. It's already stressful alone being you but to strive to be someone else can only cause mental havoc. I guarantee the woman who you claim is "body goals" is looking at someone else wishing the same thing. Moral of the story......Love Self πŸ’›

A question I get asked on a regular...."What is your main source for cardio?"
Answer:Treadmill sprint intervals

For someone like me who puts on weight easily, it is necessary for me to do high intensity cardio to keep the pounds at bay. This routine has by far been the best cardio regimen for me to assist with me staying lean. The best part is, it only takes up 30 minutes of my day. I do this cardio on average 6 days a week. Even if I do not lift weights I find time to do these Sprint intervals.

Sprint intervals includes:
5 minutes jog warm up 3.5mph
Sprint at 9.0 mph for 30 seconds
Rest 30 seconds
Sprint at 9.5 mph for 30 seconds
Rest 30 seconds
Sprint at 10.0 mph for 30 seconds
Rest 30 seconds
Sprint at 10.5 mph for 30 seconds
Rest 30 seconds
Sprint at 11.0 mph for 30 seconds
Rest 30 seconds
Sprint at 11.5 mph for 30 seconds
Rest 30 seconds
Sprint at 12.0 mph for 30 seconds
Walk 90 seconds
Repeat circuit 2X
Follow up with a combo weight lifting session of your choice.
