β€œI wish more people would talk about therapy. We girls, we’re taught to be almost too resilient, to be strong and sexy and cool and laid-back, the girl who’s down. We also need to feel allowed to fall apart," @SelenaGomez says in @voguemagazine's April cover story where she opened up about the 90 days she spent in a psychiatric facility last summer to get help with depression and anxiety. "I felt I wasn't good enough, wasn't capable. I felt I wasn't giving my fans anything, and they could see itβ€”which, I think, was a complete distortion." Apply highlighter like a makeup artist!
1. Exfoliate first. There's a whole other level of luminosity from the newly exposed skin. Apply moisturizer and sheer foundation, then pat the highlighter on cheekbones, bridge of nose, and Cupid's bow with your ring finger or a damp sponge. Last, spritz on a face mist so it settles in nicely.
2. Dab a small amount on your lips then go over it with lip balm. You have this nice, leftover luminescence that gives you a fuller shape. It's a light suggestion of a highlight.
3. Do a naked face and a red lip, blend a little bit of highlighter on the inner corners of eyes, then more on the lids. It's beautiful when the highlight is sheer and you see skin underneath.

"My hope is to not only enlighten young girls about who blazed the trails, but also to encourage girls of all shapes, sizes and ethnic backgrounds to continue the legacy and perhaps make their own history." That's what Tricia Messeroux and the @girlscouts strived for when they celebrated Women's History Month by having girls dress up as iconic women. More photos through our link in bio!
