Seeing the news from colleagues in Jordan that the first job centre for Syrian refugees has opened in #ZaatariCamp reminded me of this group of young men I met there last year. They were taking part in a photography course, and showed us their work - vivid photos portraying their restricted day-to-day lives in the camp, waiting for the war to end and to go home. In this photo we were playing around with a 360 camera. I felt for these enthusiastic, polite, potential-filled lads and wondered how long photography could fill their days. The news that they are now eligible to find jobs, work, earn a living, learn skills, and reclaim their dignity, while the war burns on, fills my heart with hope. Hats off to the Government of Jordan for bringing in this policy and all my #UNHCR colleagues who worked on it.
