Say what you will about Pokémon Go, but this is the second incredible sunset I've watched from Railroad Park in as many days. I've walked more in the last two weeks than I have in the last year. I've made new friends, reconnected with old ones, and I've met people from all walks of life -- black, white, old, young, nerds, jocks, gay people, straight people. And, yeah, while we're all initially staring lifelessly down at our phones, we all glance up to give each other a smile or a nod, or maybe a hot tip on where to find that Scyther up the hill. All these different and diverse people are coming together, connecting and becoming more of a community. In a time when it seems like the world is falling apart, it's reassuring to see that that's possible even if it is because of a silly game.
