Are you hungry all day?

Hungry is good...it’s your body telling you what it needs, but sometimes what you think is hunger is really just,

Dehydration, you need water but because you are not giving your body water it tries to get you to eat foods higher in water content like fruit...but you miss that signal and instead crave carbs and sugars all day/night

Change of seasons...this is especially normal as the body transitions into fall and needs more warming/heartier foods...salads and fruits won’t cut it this time of year and will leave you hungry...you don’t need more food, just the right food.

Increase in metabolism, your body working hard to repair the damage done during a workout or physical activity can have you hungrier than normal...in this case you may not need more food but more of the right food like fats and proteins.

Hunger is a good thing, your body should be telling you when to eat, what to eat and even how much to eat...you just want to make sure you are getting the right message 👍🏻 #weightloss #weightlossbygina #weightlosstips #hunger #food #weightlossexpert #metabolism #dehydration

Eat, drink and be grateful...that’s my tip going into this Thanksgiving long weekend!

Normally I would post tips about surviving the weekend and staying on track.

This year I suggest a different approach. —
Make food choices that make you feel good. And if you do overindulge take the time to enjoy what you eat & when it’s done let it go...no need to stress because “there is nothing you can do in a weekend that can’t be undone with a few days back on track”.

If ever there was a time to indulge it’s holidays and special occasions...it’s the day to day that’s key to staying on track and reaching your goals.

And regarding those tips here are my top 5.

1. Drink lots of water.
2. Start your day higher in protein.
3. Eat small meals & snacks often to leave room for yummy extras.
4. Load up on veggies and greens when you can.
5. Be mindful, taking a few mins before you eat, while you eat and after you eat to be in-tune with how you feel will go along way to creating new habits and associations with food....nothing wrong with enjoying some yummy food on a special occasion as long as you feel good about it! #happythanksgiving #feelgood #selflove #givethanks #grateful #weightloss #weightlossbygina

Extra hungry, craving carbs lately??...There is a reason why that pumpkin spice is so appealing this time of year 😋

Your body is in-tune with changing of the seasons...in the summer it works like an air conditioner keeping you cool so you tend to crave fresh cooling foods like salads and fruit.

In the fall as the temp drops your body switches over to working like a heater to keep you warm...so you crave foods that create heat when digested.

You are hungrier because your body is working harder, it doesn’t mean you need more food...just the right food. So bump up the sweet potatoes, squash, root veg, soups, stews and fatty meats.

If you don’t give your body these foods this time of year it will store fat to compensate...and you don’t want that! #weightloss #weightlosstips #weightlossbygina #fall #food

Funny, but also true...when life gets busy it can be hard to get the water in and make good food choices.

You can totally "cheat" here and there...but If you keep it together as much as possible especially during the busy times...it will go along way towards reaching your goal but also makes sure you look good and feel even better along the way 👍🏻

You also want to have fun, maybe have a drink and eat some yummy food.

People make the mistake of not eating all day in anticipation of heading out for a party or event.

Thats a problem because by not eating all day your digestive system is super slow and sluggish by the time you do eat or have a drink...and that will have you feeling bloated, tired and uncomfortable for the rest of the night.

The key is to keep yourself hydrated with lots of water all day.

Start your day with a high protein breakfast to get your system going & burning more calories from the get go

Followed by lots of fresh snacks, fruit, veggies, nuts along while eating smaller portions for meals.

That will keep food moving and your digestive system working...it will also prevent you from feeling the need to over eat a big meal later.

Long days are long days and it doesn't matter if it's a fun day with friends or a full day of work it's important to look and feel your best...and what you choose to eat and drink can make or break your day.

There are a lot of great products out there...but here are my fave and what they are for:
