Lots of strong and lovely ladies I know, myself included, struggled as to whether or not sharing and being apart of this information would help or hurt. After a couple days of tearfully reading so many stories of amazing women I love, respect, admire, worked for, have worked with especially in the entertainment business, which can often be corrupt and demeaning for women and men alike, I want to extend a HUGE thank you to @milano_alyssa for starting a movement. You have created an element of empathy and strength in replacement of shame and fear. Thank you to every single person who bravely shared details and relived their nightmares. I know your stories and can share my own. My DM and heart remain wide open to anyone in need, because #metoo , unfortunately. I always wish it hadn’t taken so long to share, but... #awareness can do more than we know.
One more thing..A big fat fuck you to Harvey Weinstein. Perhaps this will serve as a wake up call as to not abuse power, success and fame for the many others in the business of Hollywood, or elsewhere, who use their notoriety for harm. There is no timeline that once made abuse toward women or others acceptable. There is always a story we don’t know... #bekind
