Just got out of the expo, sorry to see it end. Had so much fun!! I saw a lot of good friends and met a lot of new ones! Thank you to @bforcebands for treating me like family! Love you guys!! My Current BFP, Wgt, & program💁

16% body fat, 180lbs, 2500 calories a day(almost 6 feet tall, not trying to shred) 5-6 meals a day, 6 days weights w/ 4-5 days of 35-45 min cardio sessions per week.

Long story/short, I've been a CPT since 1998 and I don't walk around shredded, never have & I don't feel it's something healthy to do long-term to begin with. I'll prep for a show once a year and shred for a short period of time. I tend to be blunt and to the point but I want results so I'm not a "hand-holder" when I train. Health is always the priority💪🏻

Top 5 Mistakes Intelligent Women Make On Diets!

With so many diets on the market such as: paleo, iifym, low-carb, low-fat, no sugar, gluten -ree, vegan, and the list goes on...no wonder women are confused. I've trained dozens of women and I've had the chance to see what works and what doesn't work!! _

Top 5 Mistakes!!👇🏻

1️⃣ Low-calorie diets! They only work for a short period; but create metabolic adaption, the body conserving energy, slowing your metabolism and creating "yoyo" dieting!
_

In order to CONTINUE to to get results you must reduce calories MORE and add MORE cardio...further hurting the metabolism creating stress, anxiety, hormones thrown off, mood swings, adrenal fatigue, eating disorders and binge eating.
_

2️⃣ Restricting foods by cutting out entire macronutrients!
It is hard to sustain these kind of diets in the long run, so it ends up in women falling off the plan. Worst yet lack of nutrients creates other health related issues.
_

3️⃣ Trying to do too much, too soon!
_ - As a smart woman, you need to step back and look at how you are treating our bodies. If we are abusing it by doing endless amounts of stressful things daily, then how can anyone sustain it for a life time? Instead take BABY STEPS!! Don't take on more then 2-3 changes EVERY 6-8 weeks....steadily wining the fat-loss race by making it a lifestyle!

4️⃣ Having unrealistic expectations!
_

Stop reading those Gossip magazines!! "So & So is losing 15 lbs a week" or the "5 minutes of abs to get your bikini body"
TRUTH: no such thing!! No one can accomplish anything in 5 minutes! It takes self-control and balanced training year after year to show true change! So stop buying into the pills and "secret" potions! There is no easy way just Hard work & consistent effort!

5️⃣ Eating to fill emotional needs: emotional eating! - Women make themselves feel better with food! E.g., feel good/bad/sad/upset = eating!
- Listen to your body and deal with the emotions another way!!! _

Have you heard that drinking more water coupled with a smart diet brings muscle gains and fat loss?! From a fitness and bodybuilding perspective, the more water inside your muscles, the better they function. More water in your muscles increases strength and size capacity, but chugging several glasses of water a day can seem like torture when every cup is tasteless.
_

Here are my tips to drinking more water daily & losing fat in the process👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 _

1️⃣Add a bit of excitement by dunking fresh fruit (grapefruit, strawberries, lemon), veggie slices (cucumber, ginger, celery), and herbs (basil, mint, lavender) to your @gallongear

2️⃣When the waiter comes around and asks for drink orders, always request water. Drinking a full cup before each meal can curb calorie intake because it causes you to feel full. Request lemon slices to add flavor.
_

3️⃣It’s easy to remember to fill up on water when the source is nearby. Keep a Gallon Gear jug at your desk, by the bed at home, and on the kitchen counter as a constant reminder to drink up.

6️⃣One sneaky way to increase the amount of water you consume on a daily basis: eat your H2O. Add fruits and vegetables with a high water content to your grocery shopping list. High fiber foods and watery Vegetables also will fill you up so you won't over eat on high calorie foods.

Most of all, do not let anyone pressure you to take a route they would go just cause it was easy. It's not about how old or young you are, where you came from, or any other advantage. It's about knowing what's in your nature and what will make you happy in the end. Set goals and go after them till you accomplish what you set out to do!
