I was excited to hear about the new BarePro launch, and very excited to be able to test it for BareMinerals- thank you for sending it to me! This foundation is advertised as a long lasting liquid foundation with a matte finish. It comes in a range of colors, suitable for most skin tones. I love the BareMinerals line, but prefer a more medium coverage liquid as opposed to a powder- which is why I was very excited to try this. The coverage is buildable, and it does last well (considering you prep and set it). I do have combo skin, and most matte formulas can tend to settle in drier areas quite quick. This foundation did do this, but like the others, I was able to fix it by adding some face oil. The application and finish was much better once the oil was added. I am using the @nuxe_us Dry Oil, which is amazing. I add 1 drop to every pump (I usually use 2 pumps for medium coverage). I do not have to set with too much powder, as it does change texture on its own pretty easy. I set my under eyes and T zone to help prevent creasing. I apply it with my beauty blender- I have tried the silisponge but do not recommend that. Application with a brush is ok, but not as smooth as opposed to a beauty blender. I moisturize (@tartecosmetics Brightening Moisturizer) and prime (@temptu Primer) prior to applying the foundation.
All in all, I am pleased with this foundation. I loved the natural finish, and felt I got good (but still natural) coverage. Above all, I love that they have a shade in my skin tone (aka ultra pale- which is very hard for me to find). While it did need some help with the oil, this is not uncommon with matte foundations, and not a big deal for me for me. Thanks again, BareMinerals and Influenster!
