How to actually activate glutes.... #gluteactivation
Oh in case you want to learn actual muscle fiber activation, you need to do ISOMETRIC contractions to waken dormant muscle fibers. Literally all you need is your body weight, do a 1 legged bridge, hold the contraction for 10 seconds and do a total of 3 sets for each leg. Once the glutes have been activated ONCE no amount of extra "activation" will make them grow... you need to add real weight doing real compound exercises like squats, leg press, walking lunges, deadlifts etc to put actual stress on the glute for progressive overload. Also heavy Bulgarian Split Squats are great and single leg leg presses as well. Go heavy and push hard.

I'd like to remind alot of you that good form is important. But keeping picture perfect text book form at the cost of pure strength is not always the best course of action. By defitition the only way to train past your limitations is to try heavier weights than youve ever tried before. Obviously form will not be perfect . The idea is you are training your central nervous system to be able to recruit more muscle fibers more efficiently and with more force in order to handle heavier weight. Once you practice a new weight enough you will get more and more comfortable handling it. Aka stronger. Once you are stronger, then concentrate in perfecting your form with the new weight.
