Now this is going to to sound dramatic but I remember shortly after my wedding hitting a real slump. I swore I wouldn't be that person who got the post wedding blues, but I actually was! Every week during my engagement I was so disciplined - I would have my weekly to-do list with its various categories and the big category was always the wedding. After the wedding it took some real adjustment and I found myself in a funk.
As the months ticked on I knew I had to find a purpose and passion again. Often people move pretty quickly to thoughts of starting a family in this period but it wasn't the right timing for us and now, even though the timing is right, nature has other ideas. In the following months and years it's been crucial for me to have little projects on the go. Purpose and passion are so closely intertwined and without these things I know I'd find myself back in the same headspace as that post wedding lull.
If you're in a rut what passions could you pursue? Having a purpose and being accountable to something or someone can be a real game changer and it can literally be anything!
