Arm Day 💪🏼

Next time you hit arms try these two arm variations. The cable bicep curl is a drag curl with a high curl at the end of the movement. This will give you the maximum pump while emphasizing the brachialis and outer portion of the biceps. The next exercise is wide grip tricep push down. In this variation, the knuckles face out instead of up which directs more pushdown work towards the lateral and long head of the tricep on the outside giving the tricep that “horseshoe” look. Don’t focus on weight for this exercise, focus on your form!

This week I’ve been sick and have had major back pain that I’ve had from my football days. Every workout this week has been tough, but I have been grinding through them all and haven’t missed a day. Even when you don’t feel like it you have to do what you have to do. Self discipline is everything. #thegymismytherapy

Close grip bench is one of my favorite tricep exercises it allows you to build muscle and increase your strength. I like to keep my elbows tucked to where they rub against my lats as I do the exercise so I am focusing on using my triceps. Another important factor about this exercise is IMO, which is the mind-muscle connection. You need to focus on only using the tri's to get the bar up. Some days you just feel like going heavy today was one of those days.
