I’m slowly learning (and re-learning) that true health is NOT Paleo, Vegan, CrossFit, marathons, shakes, supplements, or any fad out there. ✨
TRUE health is rather, a thousand tiny choices we make each and every day. ✨
Walking a little more.
Moving our bodies naturally.
Taking deep, cleansing breaths,
especially if we’re feeling overwhelmed or anxious.
Practicing self-care: foam rolling, stretching, yoga, meditation, baths.
Running barefoot through the grass.
Trading a cup or two of coffee for high-quality green tea (☝🏻☕️🍵).
Having more (enjoyable) sex.
Swapping out some alcohol for good, clean, pure water (I know, this one hurts a little)
Integrating a few more fruits and vegetables in each day.
Playing and being present with our kids.
Spending quality time with those we love.
Finding our purpose.
Living our lives with passion.
Listening to our bodies:
when they want rest, kindness, or to go a little wild. ✨
I’m not after a “beach body”, whatever that is. I’m after feeling, looking, and trying my personal best. Feeling mentally healthy and physically strong and living my life with INTENTION instead of apathy. ✨

12 years married,
13.1 miles,
2 hours 40 minutes
(which is actually good for us 😂👏🏻) right past Zephyr Cove,
the place we got married.
We love you so much Tahoe,

This is my “Oh 💩 I have to run 13.1 miles in T-minus 2 days and I couldn’t be less mentally, emotionally, or physically prepared” face. 🤨
But Hubby and I are gonna do the damn thang 💪🏻 so other than “you should’ve properly prepared” 😳 what advice do you have for the day before and day of a half marathon for me? 🙏🏻

Salmon Burgers with Sriracha Mayo 🐟🌶 Serve on a bed of arugula or a gluten-free bun (slather on that sriracha mayo) and you’ll be winning at life 🙌🏻
Sriracha Mayo RECIPE via #itsallgood:
1/2 c. Vegenaise (best mayo substitute ever; don’t be scurred 😳 by the name)
1 tbsp. Good-quality maple syrup
1 tbsp. Sriracha
2 tbsp. Fresh squeezed lime juice
Pinch of course sea salt
Whisk all ingredients + enjoy.
