"🚨 How I got my waist smaller 🚨
1️⃣ Overall weight loss. There is 2 stone (28lbs) between the first picture taken and me today. ⚖️
2️⃣ Water- it’s not the most interesting of drinks but it helps you to debloat by helping your body let go of excess water (I drink 3-4 litres a day) 💧
3️⃣ Stop drinking fizzy drink- even if it’s zero calorie, it’s still full of bubbles. ❌
4️⃣ Have rest days and refeed days- I have 2 rest days a week and I try to have 1 day where I refeed my body with more carbohydrates than usual 🍝🥔🍌 5️⃣ Find out what works for you food wise- personally a high carb diet with less of a focus in protein works for me, I’ve done the chicken, rice, eggs, whey protein thing- and I ended up looking so bulky but some women swear by a high protein diet so don’t copy what others do, listen to your own body.💖
6️⃣ Don’t deprive yourself of treats but keep a balance 🍫🍿🍩
7️⃣ Make sure your workouts are challenging and your cardio workouts are sweaty.💦 8️⃣ (I hate myself for putting this because it’s such a basic bitch piece of advice but it does work) Apple cider vinegar and hot water- 2 tablespoons in hot water before you go to bed at night. 🍎
9️⃣ Don’t even take into consideration how you look on your period because you’re going to look/ feel bigger especially around your waist. 🤷🏻‍♀️
🔟 Make your food fresh- Steer clear of ready made sandwiches, tinned soup, ready made sauces and ready meals as they tend to be really high in sodium which can make you bloat. ❌

Natural body composition, getting enough sleep and not stressing also helps but I won’t ramble on anymore... 😂

I think it's really important as we get into the thick of the "bikini body season" and diet culture bullshit that's screaming full volume at you to lose weight and change your body so you're "pool side appropriate", we have to remember that that's a load of crap and that not every picture you see is an accurate depiction of a person's actual body 100%. You know? Not every picture you see is the whole picture.

I can look like the picture on the left and in 5 SECONDS I can look like the picture on the right. It's the same me, same body, same day, same time, everything the same just sucking in and breathing out. Both are beautiful. Both are worthy. Both are valid. Both are strong & powerful.

It's important to remember that not every picture you see on social media tells the whole story of a person's body. We all want the world to see us at our "best", what society tells us is our "best", and really, exactly as you are RIGHT NOW IS YOUR BEST. You don't need to change anything about yourself.

No one "needs" to wear a one-piece bathing suit. No matter what size or shape your body is you are allowed to wear whatever you want. Wear the micro bikini, the two piece whatever, the one piece if you want, WHATEVER YOU ARE COMFORTABLE IN IS WHAT U SHOULD WEAR. And do it with pride because you're fucking BEAUTIFUL. You deserve to lay out by a pool or on a beach or on a boat or wherever exactly as you are."

"I'm back down at my lowest weight after binging a few weeks ago!! All I can say is that I’m so proud of myself for not giving up and staying on track this whole time. I didn’t let the weight gain get to me, I didn’t let it throw me off track, and I didn’t let it ruin the progress I’ve made so far.

These are all things I have done in the past as I tend to be pretty self destructive 🙃, but the change in my mindset has really been key in keeping me motivated and excited about making these changes in my life. I’ve learned that every setback isn’t the end of the world and I don’t need to throw away everything I’ve been working towards because I made one mistake.

The truth is, we’re all going to make mistakes on these journeys—it’s inevitable. But what matters more is how we pick ourselves up after the mistakes. Be kind to yourself, forgive yourself, and move on. Dwelling on something you unintentionally messed up doesn’t do anything positive for you. let it go.
