For the last 3 months or so, outside of my job at Winston I’ve been working on a contract basis with a company called MailHaven. I’ve been designing the Fit, Function, and Sealing of the Box which receives packages and stores them safely from elements (and theft) for the customer. It’s an innovative package receiving device integrated with an app that tracks all your orders across multiple platforms and carriers. They’ve been backed by UPS and some other large companies who have faith in the product. Check them out if you have a minute.
Recently, the design I’ve been working on (Gen 2 Units) had the first unit manufactured, and I’m pretty ecstatic. The first unit came together almost flawlessly, and looks fantastic which is quite a feat in the Engineering world (nothing ever goes together like we want it to the first time) 😅. All that said, I’m pumped to help a Startup from Louisville grow into a full scale business and get their feet off the ground.
Here are some pics of the build, I’m proud to be a small part of the team that has accomplished a LOT in a short window of time. In the next week you will see them on the news, and in the weeks to come they will be installed into some customers homes for a Beta rollout in Louisville. I love Being a part of innovation, especially something started so close to home.
I’m excited to see what comes next for MailHaven!
