We don't see to many sit up's or crunches any more in the gym anymore. For the masses crunches were replaced by the classic static plank. Although I cannot remember the last time i taught a classic static plank, It is a favorite for many. Opposed to just adding more and more time to your planks holds try this instead!
The inspiration 🖤 behind post, is that the spine is designed to move in three planes of motion in everyday life. For example, when was the last time you got out of bed in a perfectly straight line? You probably rolled to the side, and pushed yourself up with an elbow.
The body is built to move and function synergistically to allow us freedom of movement. Replace your 2 min static plank with these dynamic planks. Choose any 4 planks shown and complete 5 reps of each. The do 2 rounds and give your spine the movement it needs! As always be honest, humble and careful with new exercises. Ask a pro if your unsure!
