Have you heard of the Atomic Crank 38? Did you know this lure is Australia's most popular hardbody lure for bream? The crank 38 has racked up hundreds of victories in the tournament scene since it first hit tackle stores in the early days of Atomic. And has continued catching countless bream, flathead, bass, tailor, trevalley, jacks, and more ever since!
It is no secret that the crank 38 is also incredibly easy to use as well. Tie it on, cast it out, and slowly wind it back in. With a steady, slow rolling retrieve the lure will shimmy and vibrate through the water as you wind it back in. The key to getting the bites however is putting the crank 38 into the strike zone, where the fish are. The bib on the front of the lure allows the lure to diver down (depth will depend on the model of crank 38), where it will ideally be bumping over rocks, rubble, sandy bottom, along boat hulls or anywhere it will create a disturbance to attract nearby (feeding or aggressive) fish.
