I tend to focus exclusively on documenting our everyday lives, but I really want to start including the bits and pieces that paint a more complete picture of us. The theme of this month’s @aliedwardsdesigninc story kit is “fabric” and it was a great jumping off point for talking about each of our most prized possessions...all of them basically just bits of fabric, but made of so much more.

Today’s the day! The Hold Tight kit by @brandi_kincaid is live in the @feedyourcraft shop, along with tons of other great new products. Head over and check it out! (And, no, I haven’t given up on my 2017 album...still chugging along.)

Sharing another January spread using the latest @aliedwardsdesigninc SBTM kit. Loved working with these colors! Head over to her site to find out more about this subscription ❤️ (swipe for more)

It’s pretty great to get back to creating after an unplanned break! The new Hold Tight kit designed by @brandi_kincaid for @feedyourcraft hits the shop Feb 15th at 8am EST and it is so so good!

This week included trips to the hospital, fevers, and croup (all while daddy is out of town). But this guy is 18 months old today, and that’s a pretty big deal. Happy half birthday, Ben. Here’s to 18 more years of you stealing my food...

Using the last of my @brandi_kincaid Mark Your Place kit by @feedyourcraft to try out the TN format. I like it for shorter stories and could see myself having a notebook for each kiddo. Not sure, but it was fun to play!

Week two using the @aliedwardsdesigninc Change Story Kit. I think I’ll be using every last piece of this one. Swipe for more.

Just finished this 6x8 spread for my #onelittleword album about a small stack of books I’ll be reading in the next few months. Self-help (ish) for the win! Still using the amazing Mark Your Place kit designed by @brandi_kincaid for @feedyourcraft.

I’ve been meaning to put together a spread using Ben’s monthly pictures and knew the change story kit from @aliedwardsdesigninc would be a perfect fit. The first twelve months with this little guy have changed me forever and reflecting back and thinking about our time together was more meaningful than I could have imagined. I love this story. ❤️

Week one of 2018 done using the @aliedwardsdesigninc Stories By The Month January 2018 Digital Kit. Really, really loved working with this kit and finding a new rhythm in the 12x12 size. More about this spread is up on the blog (link in profile). Happy Monday!

Filling in the stories for my 2017 album while I move forward with my 2018 album. Loved using the new @aliedwardsdesigninc January Stories by the Month kit to document one of my favorite memories from last year. So funny to see Ben in a baby carrier now that he’s super mobile (way too mobile 😉).

Put my 2018 title page together with the awesome @aliedwardsdesigninc January release. Excited to see how 12x12 works moving forward. Clearly 2018 is a year of living on the edge 😉

Crazy start to the year, but enjoying a little quiet this morning. Sitting down to my #onelittleword prompts and setting the foundation for my year with “begin.” Happy Saturday!

My word for 2018 is BEGIN. I want to let go of worry, and overthinking, and waiting for the perfect time...and just start. Alternately, I want to explore habits/thoughts/tendencies I’d like to END. I want this year to be about action, progress, and moving forward. Simple, but for me, powerful. #onelittleword #onelittleword2018
“Whatever you can do, or think you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.” This quote is commonly attributed to Goethe, but some say it was written by Scottish author William Murray. (This is one of my favorite prints from @chasingpaper, no longer available.)

My #2017bestnine. So thankful to have participated in this community, gotten to know so many of you amazing women, and spent a little time being creative. 2018, you have big shoes to fill!

Still in love with the Mark Your Place kit by @brandi_kincaid for @feedyourcraft. I really wanted to include this story about reading and where each of them is in their own journey. Proud of our little bookworm who just tested at a third grade reading level...and, on the flip side, doing our best to foster a love for books in a kiddo who has no interest in sitting still. We’re definitely making progress!

Day 10 in our @december_daily album. The spread starts with a tag (with my gorgeous friend Jenn and her even more gorgeous baby Ellie), includes our text message conversation that means so much to me (in flip up and blurred 😉), and ends with an amazing dinner and walk in Georgetown. Making progress!! (Side note: I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas...we got hit with a stomach bug so all plans of posting a warm and fuzzy photo/message were ruined.)

Jumping around, playing catch up...story of my life. Here’s @december_daily day 23 using the @kellie.winnell new release SEASONAL NATIONAL, available NOW! I like how the foldout picture turned out. It’s one of those things that’s pretty hard photograph...but I’m sure you get the picture. Hah. See what I did there?

Here’s the full shot of our @december_daily day nine, swipe to see the spread with the instax insert. ❤️❄️ (this is what I’m doing instead of the FIVE THOUSAND things that need to be done before Christmas)

Finishing up our day nine. These photos are awful and the snow pretty much obscures the monuments...but I love them (and I love this guy). There’s also a little sneak of the @kellie.winnell SEASONAL NATIONAL stamp set releasing on the 23rd!

Ahhh...the view down Pennsylvania Avenue will forever be one of my favorites (the Capitol building can just barely be seen through the snow). Just starting on my @december_daily pages from our four day DC trip to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Patiently waiting for my For the Love kit from @aliedwardsdesigninc to work on day eight, which was our actual anniversary. Borrowing this idea (number sticker on star chipboard) from the brilliant ms. @amylphoto82. Trying to figure out how to fit all my favorite photos into one day. Consider yourself warned: day nine will be a few pages 😉

It’s always pretty great when my mom and dad come stay with us. Our @december_daily day seven is about their visit, complete with family dance parties (please note little Ben bustin’ a move 😂). Happy Monday!

This much snow in Atlanta is a pretty big deal. And, unfortunately, destructive. It’s the first time we’ve seen our house covered in snow. ❄️

The Mark Your Place kit by @brandi_kincaid is live at @feedyourcraft! This one will be on repeat for me. I have big plans for this kit, but I couldn’t wait to use some of my favorite pieces in my #decemberdaily2017. Skipping around while I play catch up...but had to include the Christmas books that are such an important part of celebrating the season for us.
