My beloved @shinee took the stage today in Japan for the first time since we lost Jjong. I’ve been following the tags of the concert, it seems it went well. They left an empty mic for Jonghyun, which was so hard to see.
I cannot imagine how hard it must have been to get up on that stage after ten years of performing as 5 and only be 4.
Sending them good vibes and hoping they’ll add a few more dates so that I can see them in person too.
Sending love and good vibes the fandom today.

Yo dawg, we heard you liked chocolate so we put chocolate inside more chocolate.

My view @sciencespo. 🇫🇷❤️🤓

First day back teaching at @sciencespo! Headed over to meet this year’s cohort.

@pixeltheprancer knows the best way to cope with a February snow storm.

I’m making my way through this album, taking my time. It’s beautiful. He’s so fucking talented.
Hearing his voice through new music has been an unexpected gift, but it feels so sad to know this will be the last time we ever get something new.

Office for the day
#miami #amwriting

Last year I wrote a novel 😄
My writing group said it had flaws 😩
Rewrote it 😄
Editor friend said it needed more work 😩
Rewrote it 😄
Submitted, and got an agent! 😄
Reworked it based on agent feedback 🤓
First publisher said no. 🤬
But said resubmit after changes. 😲
Now reworking it again. 🤪 ———————
I was shocked to discover I was not a literary prodigy, lol. And so, I tried to give myself a pep talk and this line jumped out at me during my #morningpages.
This is just what it takes. Maybe it will be another 5 rewrites. This is the work. This is the honing of craft. And yes, others might have an easier or shorter journey but I’m only focusing on my own challenges.
So, if you’re out there struggling on your creative project or business - I see you! If you’re in the middle slog when you’ve come to far to quit, but you have a ways to go- I see you.
If you need some company my DMs are open. Here’s to showing up and doing the work.

No more silence. #timesup

Puppy dog eyes. You might think she’s gazing at me adoringly but the truth is she is campaigning for her dinner. She makes a convincing case. 🤔🦊🥐 (video attached)

Nothing takes the stress out of an upcoming week than taking the time to plan and prioritize the most important things. This #bujo layout has been a recent fave.

I love the feeling of starting a fresh notebook. I got into #bulletjournal last year but in a minimalist way (read: too lazy for washi tape and index pages). But, I do appreciate the flexibility to design layouts for my specific purpose! At the heart of my journal is my weekly planning.
How do you stay organized?

Gutted I couldn’t attend this memorial for Jonghyun organized by #udidwellparis on Friday. Over 500 people gathered in Place de la République to celebrate and remember a very special soul. His music touched so many people, and I’m still so sad that we’ll be going into 2018 without him. I hope his label releases the final album he completed before his death that was due to be released in January. #youdidwelljonghyun #paris #shinee #shawol #blingbling #ot5

A much needed reminder to find the moments of beauty during the storm. For 2018 I want to embrace the endless small pleasures that often go overlooked as we rush about our day. @jessejmorgan and I saw this gorgeous rainbow, but so many people missed it because they were too busy or distracted to look up.

Love knows no distance. Happy holidays my darlings. Let those you love know how much they mean to you. So grateful for my family. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇫🇷 #facetime #famjam

Happy birthday to the love of my life @jessejmorgan, the only J born on December 24 that I care about. My very own miracle. I can’t believe you’re mine. I’m so lucky I get to spend every day with you, so even though it’s your special day, I’m really the one that got the best gift. ❤️❤️❤️

You might have heard a little on the news about the recent passing of #jonghyun. For those who don’t know I thought I would share a little bit.
Jonghyun was one of the OGs of Kpop, a talented singer and songwriter. He made his debut with SHINee (shiny) in 2008, along with the group’s other members: Onew, Minho, Taemin, And Key. They’ve been together for almost 10 years, a rarity in this industry.
I grew up with their music, watching their antics, laughing at their goofiness for years. More than their talent, watching how much they all obviously loved each other and had a blast together was always the best part.
I can’t believe he’s gone.
I’ve been down since hearing the news. He touched so many lives. In Korea, 10,000 people turned up to pay their respects (the largest funeral in recent history). There have been memorials in countries around the world, from Hungary to Indonesia.
A rare blue moon was spotted on the day of his funeral, the aqua color of the Fandom, leading many to say it was a sign that he was at peace, letting everyone know he was ok.
In Korea, a common expression of praise is tell someone they’ve done well/they’ve worked hard. In his last message to his sister, jonghyun begged her to tell him that he’d done well. He was in so much pain.
He was only 27. We have to get better at talking about depression. We have to get better at making it ok for people to express that they hurting.
Goodbye, Bling Bling. Thanks for everything. #youdidwelljonghyun

Awesome dinner listening to Gabriela Ramos, OECD chief of staff and Sherpa to the G20, talk about her experiences in promoting international cooperation and how the current political situation will shape global policies in 2018 and beyond. #oecd @oecdpics
