9 dishes, 8 courses and $99/person. It's a hefty price for dinner but was it worth it? I'd say: 'yes'.
My favourite dish was the mushrooms with winter squash purée with the truffle garnish. Some people may be overwhelmed by the truffle because it's very aromatic but I love it. The entire menu is so well curated and the dishes are definitely walk the fine line between western and eastern cuisine.
Only criticism would be the clams that came with the sablefish don't seem fresh, because fresh seafood should never be 'fishy' and the risotto was a little undercooked, in my humble opinion.
If it's your first time, I'd recommend the $99 menu just because you get more bang for your buck with the truffles, the sablefish and the a5 Wagyu beef. Wagyu beef is a high grade beef from Japan and is served rare, like super rare, and it's buttery and smooth.
This meal definitely is not a casual and quick dinner but sometimes it's nice to get dressed up and sit for two hours and chat, eat and enjoy.
I loved it, but tell me what you think if you go. Did you find the risotto undercooked?
Also I'm trying something new: I filmed my experience and it's up on my personal YouTube channel 💞
I'd love any feedback!
