Id have to say it's one of my least favourite feelings. Not only does it feel like im carrying a 10lb basketball around, it also tends to demotivate me when it comes to making my way to the gym.
To prevent bloating:
1️⃣🍹stop drinking through a straw- a lot of air is sucked up through the top of the straw every time you suck through the straw and puts a lot of gas in your stomach
2️⃣ 🍻avoid fizzy drinks (ESPECIALLY the ones with artificial sweeteners)- I know they're delish and "guilt-free"😋 but they too carry a lot of gas that just sits in your belly, and the artificial sweeteners pose a problem to our guts because our bodies don't know how to break them down- therefore creating a bloat
3️⃣🥗stop eating kale raw. Kale is super fibrous (which is good) but a little too much for our bellies to handle- try roasting or steaming the kale before consumption
4️⃣🍞🥛check for sensitivities- a lot of us have no idea that we are sensitive to either wheat or dairy, and can't seem to figure out why we're always bloated- I suggest you get your allergies/sensitivities checked!
Of course there will be times when we can't avoid bloating (like that time of the month 🔴😩) Sooo to combat bloating, instead of sitting around and letting that gas just sit uncomfortably in your stomach, try a few of these moves to push out the gas and feel 100x better!
1️⃣bench hops x10/side
2️⃣in and outs x10
3️⃣hip raises x10
5️⃣butterfly kicks x10
6️⃣criss cross mountain climbers x10
If the bloating is too severe, try some yoga poses like child's pose or gas-relieving pose and trying laying on your side!
