From @joseeksabs: At 36 I lived a lifestyle where sometimes foods were everyday foods but thought if I went for a walk around the block after dinner, I was doing ok. πŸ˜‰
-
I was waiting for that β€˜someday’ when I would get fit and healthy but at the time I wasn’t the person who made goals, chased and achieved them.
-
The thing is, you don’t just become that person accidentally. You can make the choice and reinvent yourself at any stage.
-
I fluffed around for another three years after the pic on the left and I wish I had started earlier because I have no idea what my younger body may have been able to achieve given some effort and the right nutrition.
-
But what I do know is that it is never too late to start and nothing beats being your best at any age. It would suck to get through life never having felt that.
-
I don’t plan on letting myself go again. It will always be an obstacle course as I get older and things get more difficult but health is most definitely worth fighting for. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

From @vanessaandreah:
"Everytime I posted a pic of me in mandukasana i got a lot of comments like β€ži wish iβ€˜d be as flexible as youβ€œ. The truth is, it was a long way for me til i nailed and more importantly - until i felt comfortable in it. I stretch for at least 20 minutes until i feel comfortable in mandukasana. I donβ€˜t hop on my mat and come staight into frogπŸ˜„
Here are some tips for the pose:
1- from all fours, walk your knees as far apart as they will allow comfortably, without straining. The inside knife edge of your feet should be touching the ground, knees bent to 90-degree-angles.
2- Exhale, and while engaging your core, lower down to your forearms, making sure your elbows are stacked right below your shoulders.
3- Now soften the heart and the belly and allow your hips to draw back and down.
BEGINNERS: if this is too intense, try bringing your feet towards one another, big toes touching, the tops of the feet facing down. Make sure your gaze is straight down. We want to keep the spine elongated and of course we don’t want to hurt our necks."

From @mclivinit: In life we have obstacles. While many people will have NO idea what in the world I am about to say.... everyone can relate.
-
Have you ever felt like you couldn’t go out in public because of the way you looked? Better yet, Have you ever felt like you weren’t good enough?
-
Working out in a sports bra....
Seems so easy, right?? NO WAY.. not for me. Today I celebrated the little victories. Not only did I wear a sports bra whilst working out, BUT I also wore it in public AND AND AND... could see my sweat!!
-
Today I got hot.. took off my tank top and rather than caring about what anyone else had to say.. I just worked my butt off. Today for the first time in a LONG time, I didn’t care what anyone thought about me. You have no idea how freeing it felt.
If you do anything today.. tell yourself that you are only as good as YOU believe you are. YOU only matter as much as YOU say, and act. Know that today, is the first day of the rest of your life (thanks @mcmama_a) and that you DO NOT need to care about what anyone thinks... it doesn’t matter. People are going to judge you.. not everyone is going to like you. People are going to LOVE you, and people will tell you that you’re perfect. At the end of the day.. whose opinion counts? Whose opinion REALLY matters? Your own. LOVE you. BE YOU. Don’t be afraid to go live.. for you.❀️

From @_____halle__: I just want you to remember that we all have soft bits. We all have bellies. Our bodies are beautiful no matter how round or thin or hard or soft or short or tall or whatever we are.
Β·
I think it's really important as we get into the thick of the "bikini body season" and diet culture bullshit that's screaming full volume at you to lose weight and change your body so you're "pool side appropriate", we have to remember that that's a load of crap and that not every picture you see is an accurate depiction of a person's actual body 100%. You know? Not every picture you see is the whole picture.
Β·
I can look like the picture on the left and in 5 SECONDS I can look like the picture on the right. It's the same me, same body, same day, same time, everything the same just sucking in and breathing out. Both are beautiful. Both are worthy. Both are valid. Both are strong & powerful.
Β·
It's important to remember that not every picture you see on social media tells the whole story of a person's body. We all want the world to see us at our "best", what society tells us is our "best", and really, exactly as you are RIGHT NOW IS YOUR BEST. You don't need to change anything about yourself.
Β·
No one "needs" to wear a one-piece bathing suit. No matter what size or shape your body is you are allowed to wear whatever you want. Wear the micro bikini, the two piece whatever, the one piece if you want, WHATEVER YOU ARE COMFORTABLE IN IS WHAT U SHOULD WEAR. And do it with pride because you're fucking BEAUTIFUL. You deserve to lay out by a pool or on a beach or on a boat or wherever exactly as you are.

AB WORKOUT | PLEASE STOP SPENDING ALL YOUR GYM TIME ON THE FLOOR FOREARM PLANKING AND/OR BICYCLE CRUNCHING - Introducing hanging exercises will improve your abdominal recruitment and ultimately appearance, while also strengthening your grip AND shoulders (which in turn will help your posture). Learning to hang in fact, is one of the best exercises to fix weak and dysfunctional shoulders (obviously not all cases, but many). I see so many people planking all the time (ironically right underneath a chin up bar). When you could be really working an strength with this exercises.
-
Some of these are of course really tricky, so just work up to it. Even just introduce some hanging and single arm hanging onto your regime, along with some hanging knee tucks.
-
It’s a total game changer.

It's training sessions like this that keep me MOTIVATED and addicted to the grind. If you really want to know how I feel after my workouts, just watch till the end. TO everyone that's putting in work day in and day out and feeling the struggle: Hard. Work. Always. Pays. Off. KEEP GOING. I've come a long way with my lateral jumps but there's nothing more invigorating than watching yourself progress but also seeing more room for improvements. That's excitement and without it training would be BORING. Training WILL never become easier you'll just condition your mind to enjoy the process. And once you get closer to this acceptance and mindset you'll become unstoppable because rough training days will no longer discourage you...they will excite you. Remember this the next time you're struggling midset. NOW GO CRUSH YOUR WORKOUT!

The person you tag MUST do this workout with you!! 🀣 so who’s going to suffer with you? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ˆ they’re gonna hate the last one I think πŸ˜‚ πŸ’¦
Still got tortured with this high intensity circuit πŸ”
βœ”οΈ do each exercise for 45 seconds and then rest for 15 seconds
βœ”οΈ rest 45-60 seconds between each set
βœ”οΈ repeat 3-5 times (but you won’t be able to do more than 3, trust me πŸ˜†)
βœ”οΈ for the last one: each person should do both the plank and the jumps over

From @jmegetsfit4life: Raising a daughter is one of the hardest things I think I will ever do in my life. I never thought about the impact I would have on her, she looks up to me, cares what I think, watches my every move, wants my approval, learns from me, and my biggest fan. This young lady is fierce, strong, independent, and stunning. I pray that today and everyday I can lead and guide her to follow her dreams and walk the path God has mapped out for her. I am so thankful for getting my life back so I can be the best, healthiest role model for my baby girl. Cali, I can’t explain how proud I am of you! Raising you has been pure JOY! You my sweetness are going to do BIG things!
Perhaps Fearlessness is not something anyone can merely wander into, but the gritty gold dust rising up from the ashes of every single thing they have been through.❀️️️️
