I am in love with @carluccios feed, it makes me hungry! They’ve just launched a new #vegan menu that you must check out. Don’t forget that the #meditteraneandiet is one of the healthiest. Research suggests that the benefits of following a Mediterranean-style eating pattern may be many: improved #weightloss, better control of blood glucose (sugar) levels and reduced risk of #depression, to name a few. Eating like a #Mediterranean has also been associated with reduced levels of inflammation, a risk factor for #heart attack, stroke and Alzheimer’s disease. If the idea of overhauling your entire way of shopping and eating seems daunting, start small. If you've been cooking with vegetable oil or #coconut oil, make the switch to extra-virgin #oliveoil. Olive oil is #rich in monounsaturated fatty acids which may improve HDL cholesterol, the "good" type of cholesterol. HDL #cholesterol ferries "bad" LDL particles out of arteries. Use olive oil in homemade #salad dressings nd vinaigrettes. Drizzle it on finished #dishes like fish or chicken to boost #flavour.

Cayenne #pepper can stimulate your #body’s circulation and reduce acidity; it’s a powerful, spicy little pepper that offers many health #benefits. Most notably, it can help conditions of the #heart and #bloodvessels – including to improve poor #circulation, reverse excessive blood clotting, lower high #cholesterol and prevent #heartdisease.

It’s officially #SweetPotatoDay, a day I could not ignore 🙊I’ve been having some problems with an allergic reaction lately which has been causing my skin to flair up and itch, so I’ve been looking to eat foods that are a good source of #vitaminc to help me skin along it’s way. Yes! Sweet potatoes are a good source of #vitamin C.
While most people know that vitamin C is important to help ward off cold and #flu viruses, few people are aware that this crucial vitamin plays an important role in #bone and tooth formation, #digestion, and #bloodcell formation. It helps accelerate wound healing, produces #collagen which helps maintain skin’s youthful elasticity, and is essential to helping us cope with #stress.
