Each and everyday when I wake up I see the potential for a new chapter in my life. I like to consider my life as a book, an ever unfolding story.

I'm the author of each chapter, writing my story according to the choices I make. When I want to change the direction of the path, I make choices open the way to new adventures.

Furthermore, if I feel the need for order and calm I choose thoughts of peace and act from the place of order within me. If I am looking for new avenues of prosperity, I attune to divine ideas and affirm that I am divinely provided for.

For whatever direction my personal journey takes with faith and gratitude I write new chapters in the story of my life.

Stabilization under load is 🔑 under when squatting for efficiency/ injury prevention.
.
NOT STABLE❗️ (Left picture) .
❌-Hyperextend lumbar
.
❌-Hips behind scapula/load
.
❌-Flared rib cage
.
❌-Flared elbows .
❌-Forward head Posture
.
These are all things that we DON'T🙅🏻‍♂️ want when we are under load and are trying to move the most amount of weight🏋🏻‍♀️ in the most efficient🔋/ safest way possible.
.
Doing all the above will not only get cut off your power because you won't be able to brace as effectively as having your joints were stacked📚, but you're increasing⬆️your chances of an injury/ strain💢 due to putting your spine in a vulnerable position.
.
STABLE ❗️(right picture) .
✅-Neutral lumbar
.
✅-Hips under scapula/load .
✅- Ribcage down .
✅- Elbows down
.
✅- Head closer to center of mass
.
Now we're cooking with gas! I'm in the strongest, MOST stable/ safest position I can possibly be. I usually tell people that you should be ready to catch a piano🎹 if it were dropped on top of you and take a kick in the stomach, from just stabilizing your trunk by keeping the rib cage down⬇️, extending the hips /squeezing the glutes🍑 and taking a big breath😮💨 into your stomach NOT❌ your chest, creating a 360🌍 diaphragm. In addition, Keeping the elbows down⬇️ will prevent you from folding over coming out the hole by reducing t-spine flexion allowing you keep the bar in your center of mass.
.
All you're joints are now nice and stacked and you're ready to initiate the squat.
.

READ‼️STOP CONFUSING positivity with perfection, my fellow human beings! #realtalkiq

Just because me or others don't post our hardships and struggles on the social media platforms doesn't necessarily mean we don't encounter them. If anything that's the furthest thing from the truth and I'm sure most of you know that or should.
.
(Side note: It's inevitable that you're going to face adversities in life, but it's not about them of itself. It's more about how you respond to them that matters.)
.
I and I'm sure others as well just prefer to uplift you, make you laugh, motivate, inspire and simply speak life through positive affirmations primarily because not only is it helping you but it's also helping us maintain a positive environment. Especially since we already have enough negative energy trying to hold us back from finding/ achieving our highest self.
.
And essentially trying to divide us and tears us down from living a life of abundance. We're all human and are all a work in progress, imperfections and all. However, what you give your attention to you attract ( it's law) and will most likely become your reality so choose wisely on what you focus or who you choose to follow since we're on IG, my friends.
.

A reason why you might think your hamstring are tight when performing any hip-hinging movement is because you might be Hyperextending at the lumbar going into anterior pelvic tilt.
.
By doing so whats happening is that your hip flexors are being shortened pulling down⬇️ the front of the pelvis which then causes the back of the pelvis to shoot up⬆️ and because the hammies attach🔗 there it will lengthen↕️ them making you think they are "tight".
.
So before thinking you or your clients have tight hamstrings and end up doing 50 stretches for them check for hyperextension and try to keep your pelvis in a neutral position to avoid future injuries.
.

Plenty of times I've seen folks properly execute a lift yet again they're picking up the loads off the floor mindlessly. I myself have been a victim of this in the past.🙆🏾‍♂️
.
Right up to the point my lumbar became furious🔥 with me and forced me to pay more attention and be more mindful of what I was doing when I WASN'T executing a particular lift.
.
So I stopped bending down to pick up heavier loads and instead I started to hip-hinge while keeping my back as neutral as possible and keeping the loads as close as possible to my center of mass to reduce the moment arm as I came up kinda like the conventional deadlift.
.
Shortly after my lumbar became happy with me again and ever since I'm not only mindful of how I pick up the loads off the floor in the gym, but anything I have to pick up outside the gym as well to ensure I stay healthy and can have longevity not only in lifting but in Life.
.

It's important that you always give love and give respect to all things for they are you. Because in essence we are one collective consciousness experiencing ourselves subjectively.
.
And one should also always be mindful of everything you do.This will help the now become more relaxing and accepting. Side stepping into an infinite spiral of positivity or negativity doesn't matter. It's when you can catch yourself then you can help heal.But only without judgment of your own patterns can you truly accept your inner workings and evolve into a higher-self.
.
I've realized that mental challenges are only as hard as we make them. This is why Meditation for me has now become like cleaning my hard drive and reseting my computer. It helps the computer run a lot more efficient and without error.
.

There has been times where I've felt un-loved due to how some people communicate and connect with me . And it's been hard NOT to internalize the silence as a reflection of my worth if I'm being real with you.
.
However, over the course of time I've come to realize more and more that the way others operate is not about you. Most people are caught up in their own responsibilities, struggles and anxiety's that it's hard for them to even ask how others are doing at times.
.
Now, I don't believe this inherently makes them a bad or unloving person. I think they are just too busy and self-focused, and that's okay. But keep this in mind, that is not evidence that it's some fundamental failing on your part. These people are just not good at looking beyond their own world in my opinion.
.
But if you're an individual that despite the struggles, responsibilities and darkness can share your love and light with others. That of itself is a strength in you!
.
and I don't think that it's necessarily about changing who you are in a sense, but more so about finding those individuals who are willing to give you the love and connection you deserve for who you are and what you have to offer. Because despite of your feelings, you are NOT too much, too needy, too loving, or too caring etc.
.
What you are is empathetic, compassionate, kind and caring. So with or without anyone's acknowledgment and affection ...YOU ARE ENOUGH.
.

In order to improve self-awareness and continuously evolve into a better version of yourself I've learn't that one must move beyond their thoughts.
.
To understand the importance of "you are NOT your thoughts" because this is JUST an automatic process that takes place within the mind.
.
As of late I've been incorporating more and more mindful meditation. Mediating has allowed me take a step back and observe my thoughts instead of being immersed in them to the point they determine my mood or state of mind.
.
Now, with that being said I've also learned that is NOT about suppressing them, but as mentioned above, watching them and realizing you are not them.
.
This has allowed me to open a space within my being, the space of witnessing my thoughts and thoughts themselves.
.

One reason you might be getting excessive butt-wink is because you might be going into lumbar hyperextention/ anterior pelvic tilting on the descend such as in the video to the left.
.
Furthermore, doing so decreases your core stability and HIP ROM. Which can also lead to pinching in the front of your hip.
.
To mitigate butt-wink, increase core stability and hip ROM keep your pelvis in a neutral position into the descend and coming out the hole to increase the efficiency of the movement and decrease risk of injury.
.

Something that I consistently remind myself of that has allowed me to have more inner peace, especially in times of hardships is that everything that happens in life, the good, the bad, ups and downs is absolutely perfect!
.
In fact, majority of the time, in terms of adversities, is where we find the most beauty and the most light in the end. I stopped trying to avoid the darkness, and instead I just embraced it and accepted when it came because where there is darkness there is always light.😌
.
Funny, how looking back at some of these hardships and putting them into perspective has allowed me to come to realization that majority of the time those have been the moments in life that have allowed me to grow and ascend into a stronger version of myself.
.
Remember that everything happens for a reason, friends! Keep your head up, stay the course and have a blessed weekend! MUCH LOVE ❤️🙏🏽

This is something that I myself had a bad habit of doing and still see many people do it during squats before descending each and every rep.
.
Overtime I began to develop lower back discomfort and after weeks of it happening I decided to do a technique analyses on myself and realized over squeezing my glutes at the top of the movement was the potential cause of it since it was causing lumbar shear force.
.
As soon as I stopped doing so my discomfort began to dissipate and over a couple training sessions it vanished. .
If your getting lower back discomfort during squats this is something you might want to lookout for. You might do it more subtle than this but even then I would try to avoid it as much as possible if you're seeking to stay injury free in the long run.
.
