Oh, the places you’ll go. We 💙 receiving pictures from you, #WaterWarriors. This one comes from wildlife photographer, shark diver, animal rights activist, and model @amberarbucci. We are also grateful to have Amber as a founding supporter helping @findtap democratize access to clean water around the world.

Today on #worldwaterday we want to celebrate a community leading the way in reducing plastic pollution on our planet. 💧.
.
Suffolk County, NY has reduced their plastic bag use by 1.1 BILLION BAGS in just ONE year! The Legislature passed a Carryout Bag Law that imposed a 5 cent fee on plastic bags, while also documenting participation in beach cleanups as well as debris collection. 🎉 .
.
“Today's report shows that Suffolk County has achieved a drastic reduction in the scourge of plastic pollution, while at the same time reducing the use of paper bags by almost 80%," said Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming. "It's an exciting turnaround. Our economy depends on how well we care for our environment, and this is great news on that score. Everyone involved should be very proud of the example we are setting for our region, the country — and the world." 🌎 .
.
We couldn’t agree more! Now, Water Warriors, we need YOUR help to celebrate the amazing work of #waterwarrior Adrienne Esposito and @citizensenviro for helping to reduce the plastic ending up in our oceans. 🙏 .
.
Let’s say THANK YOU with a call to action today:
Tag YOUR local legislator, representative, or senator OR send to a friend who lives in a state without a plastic bag ban! Challenge them to #banplastic in your community or state! ♻️ .

Take a moment to remember every toothbrush you’ve ever used.... Too many to remember one by one, right? Most likely, too many to even count. 🤯

Scary fact: all of those toothbrushes still exist today. Every. One. Of. Them. 😱

We’ll just let that sit with you for a second.

Our focus is eliminating the single-use plastic water bottle, but your sustainable journey doesn’t (and shouldn’t) end there. It’s about every choice you make, like buying a bamboo toothbrush, for example, instead of a plastic one. 💡

Comment one plastic item that you can easily start avoiding TODAY. 🙏

GOOD NEWS ALERT🚨🚨🚨:
Can we get a hands up 🙌 for @glastofest and their new ban on single-use plastic bottles?

In 2017, Glastonbury Festival attendees went through 1.3 MILLION single-use plastic bottles. 😱

This year, attendees are encouraged to bring, or buy on-site, their own reusable bottles to stay hydrated, and any beverages sold by vendors will be in aluminum cans. 🌎

This new ban comes in addition to previous bans on plastic straws, cutlery, cups, and plates from food vendors, with everything having to be compostable. Bonus: festival wristbands are made of cloth, rather than plastic, but that’s not all. Check out our story to learn more! 😃

This is a big step in the right direction, in answer to an even bigger problem, and we hope that other festivals will wake up and follow suit! 🙌

We like to celebrate anytime that we come a step closer to living in a world where we all #drinkdifferent. Cheers! 💧🌎😃 @guardian

Water is vital to the existence of every creature on this planet, especially humans. Without it, the world as we know it would be over, and that is not ok. 🚫
We want ourselves, and future generations to continue living and thriving on this planet. Don’t you?
Our respect for this vital resource is one of the reasons why we #drinkdifferent. 💧

#drinkdifferent isn’t just a pledge, it’s a lifestyle. 💧
It begins with a 30 day pledge to say NO to single-use plastic water bottles, then during those 30 days, it becomes a new awareness, and eventually a sustainable lifestyle. 💧
It’s not an overnight shift, because big changes never are, and that’s ok. It’s about planting a seed of awareness, and then letting it grow each day until it impacts the choices you make, and maybe even your worldview. 🌎

Quantas announces ambitious plan to reduce their waste sent to landfills by 75% in the next two years!

They aim to replace 45 million plastic cups, 30 million cutlery sets, 21 million coffee cups and 4 million headrest covers with sustainable alternatives by the end of 2020. But that’s not all, check out our story to learn more! 😃

And you thought you were having a hard Monday... perspective is everything, right? 😬
We want to live in a world where single-use plastics can’t ruin anyone’s Monday’s anymore. How about you? 🙏
Comment and share the next single-use plastic item that you’re ready to say NO to. 🙌
We say NO to single-use plastics in general, but it all started with saying NO to plastic bottles. That one choice became a lifestyle for our team, and it can for you too! 🚫

This is not the type of wave that we want to surf. 🚫

Unless we make substantial changes, at the current rate, by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish (by weight). 😢

Comment and share one thing you’re doing to minimize your plastic waste. We #drinkdifferent. Do you? 💧
