Jamahl used to watch me training and used to cry to kick the wavemaster when only 18 months old. He loved nothing more than putting on boxing gloves and kicking and punching until the gloves fell off.
After being vaccinated for MMR, Jamahl had a serious fever lasting around 9 days after which his cognitive development just stopped and seemed to reverse. Jamahl’s behaviour continued to be erratic and non predictable leading to him being diagnosed with ASD aged 3 and a half and ADHD at aged 6, Jamahl’s future seemed a little uncertain to say the least.
Jamahl entred his first tournament at age 8, beating a 13 year old on route to the final which he won comfortably despite huge anxiety issues.
Jamahl now loves nothing more than training hard and always trying to improve.
Jamahl attends a special needs education school and loves learning. He has also very recently become a huge football fan and plays as often as he can for fun.
Jamahl can often be found at his Dad & Step Mum’s PT academy helping to coach special needs children in corrective movement and Martial Arts. The children all look up to Jamahl and he simply loves being able to give back.
