At my last job, I came out to my bosses as bipolar. I was so nervous that they would look at me differently. But everyone was so understanding. And they all had someone close to them who suffered from mental illness too. It always surprises my how prevalent mental illness is because nobody talks about it. Let's stop that now. #worldmentalhealthday
This week has been an emotional one, to say the least. So many emotions boiled up in me from rage to tears. No matter what happens, we will never stop supporting and fighting for Christine Blasey Ford. But that means we need to rest up. You can't help someone else until you help yourself first. Today Christine Blasey Ford will testify about her sexual assault at the hands of SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh. She will face people who want to see her fail, who will try to make her look bad, and people who do not believe her in the first place. She is braver than most of us could ever hope to be.
