Welcome to the FAM! We are a community of female athletes on a mission! To talk honestly about faith, on and off the field.
.
What does it look like to follow God as an athlete? How can we be godly women in this time of our lives? Are others struggling with the same things?
.
We have weekly articles written by many awesome female athletes, getting after these kinds of questions!
.

This is a place to be encouraged and inspired! This is a place to remind you that you are not alone. This is a place that will point you to truth.

“What does it look like to play with your heart as a Christian athlete? When I realized that my physical and mental abilities can only take me so far, I was able to tap into a much more eternal and fulfilling source of motivation, my heart. And when I began investing and pouring my heart into something much bigger than myself, I found success far beyond the lines of the playing field.” - @kianapancino.⠀

What makes an athlete “successful”? NEW ARTICLE POSTED!! ⠀
.⠀
Stanford University softball player, Kiana Pancino, thinks we need to redefine what is means to be a successful athlete. ⠀
.⠀
Kiana shares how softball is a game of failure. You are considered a ‘good’ hitter if you are able to hit 3 out of 10 at bats! No matter what, you are going to miss!⠀
.⠀
In her article, Kiana tells us the story of pitching in her last travel ball game in high school. Don’t miss this story! Find the link to her story in the bio.

Now it’s YOUR turn. It’s time to inspire and encourage one another. What are the things you NEED in order to stay afloat? ⠀
.
For me, I need time with Jesus. I seriously need quality alone time with Jesus or else i usually have a break down by the end of the day. No joke. I’m 100% sure that alone time with Jesus will keep you healthy too.
.

I also need hugs. A HUG CAN FILL MY SOUL. Especially a hug from my husband. Or a hug from my dad. I’ll even text Trevor sometimes... “Trevor, i just need a hug”.
.

What is it for you??? Let’s inspire one another! Comment below 👇🏼👇🏼 even if it’s just one word.

New article posted!! I am SO excited about this one... ⠀
.⠀
Did you know that being a female athlete is hard? And add in that most of y’all are student athletes... Did you know that there is a lot to balance? Have you ever felt totally overwhelmed with all that is asked of you and all that you want to do? You’re not alone! Double tap this picture if you can relate.⠀
.⠀
College soccer player Erica Wadell has realized that balance is almost impossible... but if we can become more self aware, we can figure out WHAT WE NEED in order to stay afloat!!! ⠀
.⠀
Check out the latest FAM article to read her THREE MAIN NEEDS when it comes to staying healthy and above water. I think it will inspire you to do some self reflection and make a list of your own. LINK IN BIO.

You know that teammate you always find before the start of the game or the half? That teammate you get pumped with? The one you share this 👆🏼 moment with?? Tag that teammate! #THESEarethemoments!!! #theBESTmemories #friendshipfriday

When I’m working, coaching, or playing soccer, I REALLY don’t want to be “Sweetie” or “Honey”. It makes me cringe! ⠀
.⠀
It’s really interesting being a female coach in a world full of mostly dude coaches. It’s actually really hard. I don’t always feel as respected as the other male coaches are. Just being honest.⠀
🤷🏼‍♀️⠀
I recently was called “Sweetie” by another coach out on the fields. It really affected me! It made me feel small. It made me feel like a little girl. ⠀
.⠀
I wrote an article to share my experiences on this topic - as a player and a coach. I also share with you some ways God has encouraged me and grown me through this.⠀
.⠀
I want you to know, you are NOT alone if you have ever felt similar to me. And i want you to be encouraged... So don’t miss the article in bio!!!!

What is ONE word that makes you cringe whenever you hear it?! ⠀
.⠀
Tag a friend that you cringe with! ⠀
.⠀
You may be asking... Why am i asking this question?? You’ll find out when you see tomorrow’s article!⠀

Today we interviewed high school tennis player - @kat_smith_ !⠀
.⠀
After facing disappointment, God led Kat into the sport of tennis, where she has learned a ton about herself and God. She's a big proponent of community and making sure that God is your top priority. This interview was so genuine and you will be so encouraged by Kat's perspective on things. ⠀
.⠀

Amen!! God is good. But sometimes we forget. Does that mean it’s not true anymore? ⠀
. ⠀
What is a truth about God that you have forgotten? — Do you know that God loves you? That God is with you always? That God has a plan for his people? It’s all true even if you have forgotten.

For professional soccer player, @jaelenehinkle, 2017 was a really tough year. Like many of us, Jaelene wanted to put the old behind her and totally start fresh in 2018. But now that we’re almost a month into the New Year, circumstances haven’t changed much and we are l still the same broken people we started as! ⠀
. ⠀
Did anyone set new year resolutions? How are those coming along? Are you getting the break through you hoped for?⠀
.⠀
We’ve got a new article written by Jaelene Hinkle about a different kind of resolution. This year, she decided to make New Life resolutions centered around 3 words. You will be comforted and inspired by Jaeline’s honesty and wisdom. Link in bio! There is hope for you in this New Year!

Stop your scroll👋🏼! Trust me FAM, this photo is worth a close look. Here’s a perfect comparison: This is Jenn Darrow blocking with three-time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor. (Jenn’s on the right, Misty’s on the left) Note that Misty’s feet are a solid 6 inches higher than Jenn’s but, hey, they still made a great team!! ⠀
.⠀
At the moment of this photo, do you think they were worried about the fact that Jenn is taller? Or that Misty can jump higher? NOT A CHANCE. #CompareNoMore
