Update: this #contest was judged & my team won runner up👏🏻👏🏻and we didn’t even taste test the sandwich😂BUT it was a sweet N salty combo. Layers of PB, Banana, Honey / Bacon & Raspberry Jam / Fresh Berries + PB top drizzled with honey & crumbled potato chips & chocolate. #DESSERT type indulgent sandwich, that’s fo sho! .

I’ve been feeling fine eating #gluten lately, so I’m not going to pretend I’m not. YOU DO YOU! And despite me having super high markers for sensitivity last year, I’m going to retest again & see if anything changed. Sometimes our bodies heal & we don’t have to be eliminate something forever, just keep listening and doing the work to maintain homeostasis within your body!🙏🏻

All of my remedies to not get a hangover post wedding celebrations failed miserably. That’s what I get for never drinking & enjoying too much Tito’s & @waterloosparkling - it was so worth it! 😘Congrats to my cousin @strangetribeatx & his beautiful family @cityjewell for completing their beautiful circle!💗

Post flight to LA (since I gave away my cheese box to a homeless lady outside #LAX) the only food i could stomach was rice 🍚, hummus & pita. I ate one falafel ball (so dang delicious) & the boy managed the rest. Eating my extra hummus for lunch 🥙 today.

Also, some #Monday Wisdom! Be kind. Be thoughtful. Be thankful for every single moment. We never know the struggles & hard times someone is going through. And although this pic is a bunch of balls of falafel, real life is happening beyond this so please spread joy & good vibes to everyone, always!

Trying these @purely_elizabeth Coconut Turmeric Oats🦄which are pretty delicious, I didn’t add anything to them besides the fruit but I can see how this flavor may be a little different for those not used to turmeric or less sweetness. Try it though, it can be made into a savory dish too.
Also this @snapkitchen cold-pressed (which keeps nutrients more than the juicers who produce heat & can damage some of the delicate nutrients in produce) juice. Celery & cucumber 🥒 are great for detoxification, which is what we all need after an amazing #strangetribewedding 😘

Always happy and thankful when I get to see my extended family especially when we’re all spread across the country.💗

Always need my tacos 🌮 & bbq when I come home to #Austin - I need my greens to stay balanced. This quick salad from @snapkitchen was so delicious, I need to recreate it soon!

Mixed Greens, Quinoa, Strawberry, Cashew, Mint, Goat Cheese, pickled zucchini 🙌🏼, radish & a squeeze of lemon. Added a few drops of the lemon 🍋 poppy dressing that came with it. The more in the salad the less dressing it needs, especially if you have lemon! So refreshing, and the perfect spring salad.

Must document any smoothie bigger than your head. Between using what’s left in my fridge before I’m gone for 10 days, #Austin then #LA and needing something lighter before my flight, this big boy was perfect!

*Bi*ch Tip: if you are constantly cold, thin skinned, dry hair, slow digestion, numb extremities (aka: #Vata body type in #ayuerveda 🙋‍♀️)AND you love smoothies, DON’T add ice. Do yourself a huge huge favor & start drinking smoothies with refrigerated veggies & slowly cut out the amount of frozen to help keep your internal heat/fire 🔥 lit! #wellnesswednesday

This smoothie had no frozen anything because I can’t handle cold things. It takes getting used to but it #doesabodygood 😉

Powders: Vital Proteins Vanilla Coconut Powder + Cacao + Cinnamon
Liquid: @malkorganics unsweetened almond milk + coconut probiotic @vive_organic
Produce: (all fresh!) spinach + blueberries + defrosted 🥥 coconut chunks + 1/2 banana
Fat: fresh ground @wholefoodsut almond butter

Now for some airport people watching. It’s nice to remind myself to stop 🛑and look around at #airports nobody does that anymore & it’s always entertaining to me! Do you people watch?

On this edition of #TuesdayTips

Tip 1) try to have your plate be mostly veggies, and smaller portions of protein & complex carbs (grains, legumes, potatoes etc) I consume carrots 🥕best when they’re cooked, so I boiled these for a few minutes until soft but still firm, drained then added in spinach, squeeze 🍋 & butter.
Paired it with a grass fed beef patty @traderjoes & honestly they’re not my fave, more like “come in handy when you’re out of everything else” food.😉 Tip 2) next year, do your taxes before the last few days they’re due. I always have good intentions then life happens & it gets put on the back burner. Never fun! But even less fun when you feel rushed. 🤦‍♀️

Best way to start a Friday (or any day!).... breakfast tacos 🌮Loaded this sucker with purple sweet potato 🍠, red potato, zucchini, bacon 🥓and eggs! Topped with avocado, arugula & @wildbrine probiotic kimchi hot sauce.

When your little nephews come to visit your little house gets filled with collections, in this case rocks & pine 🌲cones! Added my smoothie to the mix & called it a day. Spiral🌀Inspired by my brothers desire to find the #spiraljetty in #Utah

Mixed greens + frozen coconut 🥥 chunks & coconut milk + chopped zucchini + half banana + @malkorganics almond milk + vanilla coconut @vitalproteins + a few splashes vanilla extract. That’s all I remember🤷‍♀️

Now apparently the sun🌞 is out so I’m going to stop working my stress away 💻 because it seems to just add up sometimes, and go enjoy my family visiting! 😘

Found some pretty loaded veggie ramen 🍜here in #SLC
Added their mushroom 🍄 medley and I’ve never seen such crazy looking shrooms but they were perfect for a meat substitute.
