The stigma behind "Lifting makes you bulky" is always frowned upon. But tbh if you eat in a surplus and essentially try to "bulk" which progressive overload... then uhh HELLO yes it can. And I DO NOT have a problem with that. I think having muscle is awesome. So lift that weight and put on that muscle. There are obviously more benefits to gaining muscle such as it metabolizes fat, but for me I think that whole stigma is fine and it's BS that people think girls cant be bulky, so what if they want to be. I know I'm not exactly bulk but Lbr I'm tryna be a SHE HULK this off szn guise •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Do you find yourself getting caught up on what people think? Like you are always trying to please others, rather than working on improving yourself? Not everyone will approve of your actions, the way you look , how you act etc. so why try please them? Please yourself. Focus on what will make you happy. Not them. Not the people who only look for the bad in others.

HAPPY MONDAY!! Are used to set a weekly goal, and I'm going to continue that now. This week my goal is to find motives to keep me positive on the journey to gaining weight. while everybody is summer shredding, I'm really loving the gains train. Just because a lot of people are coming this summer, doesn't mean you have to join the movement! Do what you think is right for your body and what is best for your goals! Right now I can honestly say I'm the happiest I've ever been with my body in my entire life. Not only that, but I'm able to have a social life and enjoy time with friends eating out while still having a balanced lifestyle! Talk about burning hammies. Added this movement into my leg day today. And dang does it hurt, but so effective a lot of gyms don't have equipment to target the hamstrings like this which why smith machines are a great alternative! I did 4 sets of 10-12. I added a hip lift at the top to get some extra core in! Tag someone who needs a solid leg day move (:

Doesn't it feel good when you reach a goal? Well ka-duhhh, so why stop there?!? Keep going, how much further can you push? What else can you do to make what you have done better? Keep supporting others goals, keep striving to reach your own. Collab, create, innovate thrive. I recently have learned how much opportunity has come from the goals I achieved. I always "dreamed " of being sponsored by companies that aligned with my values. And now I proudly represent the two best in the game. @uniconutrition and @foxyathletics , as I continued to develop who I was and grow with these companies I realized the goals I could achieve, not just on IG but in my career and as a human being. As many of us know the fitness industry has shifted in recent years from aesthetics to accepting different body types. From this stems a huge topic -Self love. I think it sets a huge pressure on scullers of ig to feel like they have to achieve this in order to be happy. Well let me tell you INSTAGRAM IS A HIGHLIGHT OF MY LIFE. Clearly I feel as though I have achieved self love, but this does not mean I am completely in love with my image and feelings all the time. And newsflash NEITHER IS ANY OTHER INSTGRAMMER. I share how I feel and what I go thru so hopefully y'all can relate. But don't believe the BS. The fitness industry isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Don't feel obligated to do what everyone else is doing. Don't feel obligated to change. Do what Makes YOU happy. Much of what you see is game for comparison, but know that you're better than than. Self love does not mean self achievement. -

About a 8 month difference.Believe it or not I'm a heavier weight on the left. Changing body composition and gaining muscle is a LONG process that takes a lot of dedication, time and discipline. Patience is key. If you are consistent in your diet and workout routine, muscle will come. Eating in a surplus, rest and recovery are BEYOND essential. If you are taking the right steps, then sit back and Trust the process if you are putting in the effort, deh gains will come. and may the gain gods be ever in your favor. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Ya know what's pretty cool? Being able to take my passion and love for fitness, and make it into a job. When you wake up and pursue something that you genuinely love to do every single day. When work doesn't feel like work, you know you are doing it right. Don't let yourself sit around doing something you hate, turn your passion into your pursuits. Welp I can say I have finally hit a milestone in my journey to gain weight. Theses leggings. May sound silly right? but these are my favorite leggings... during prep I actually couldn't where them because they got a little too big.. well more like I got small lol but guess what PROJECT BOOTY GAINS IS IN FULL EFFECTS AND THEY HUGGING THE GLUTES. Sometimes using clothing as a measure is a great way to determine progress! I don't always have to go back pictures and a number on the scale! The feeling of fitting into these leggings was absolutely amazing. its peach szn ya'll. May the booty gains commence😏😈 🍑

Lets talk about body composition for a second... the first picture in pre-prep at 107lbs, clearly you can see I do not have nearly as much muscle on my body as on the right. The extra weight is simply fat( not saying it's a bad thing!) on the right I am 103lbs and 5 weeks post show. This is the result of cutting fat and doing a PROPER reverse diet, slowly adding calories in. You have to understand it is not genetics. It is hard work and science!
