I can't stress this enough, you are far more likely to use your medical skills to save a life than you are to use your martial skills to save a life. I don't know if it's luck or divine intervention but, after I started to get serious about my medical training 15 or so years ago, I've come across more motor vehicle accidents than I care to count. Probably a half dozen this year already. Today's was literally 30 seconds after pulling out of my church's parking lot. Three victims in the rollover, all female, ages 9, 15, and 18. Luckily all needed calming words more than anything...scrapes, bruises, and frazzled nerves...but, it could have been much worse had they all not been wearing their seatbelts. So, some advice, get medical training, keep training every year, carry a good first aid kit, be a concerned and involved citizen, carry road flares, and wear your damn seatbelt.
