Having nice photos and being all dolled up is nice for sure, and that’s okay so long as it’s not covering up something else— be real. I’m posting this as I sit in a different stained shirt (lol I guess I shouldn’t go buy more clothes instead of just actually doing laundry... ha.. yeah, it’s time).. ——————————————
Sometimes, spiritually we like to cover up/put a filter over what’s actually going on in our hearts because we don’t want everyone to see the stains/ aka the struggles and heartaches. ••• First. People want to know that they are not the only ones in a mess... so be real and don’t cover it up again—there is healing in openness (James 5:16)
••• Second. When finding comfort in that you’re not alone, try not to remain/linger in the mess... it’s time to be real and open with God, and give that dirty laundry to Him, knowing that He made a way 2000 years ago for your stains to be washed by Jesus. ❤️ (Isa. 64:6, Isa. 1:18)
